Alhumdoallah we landed in toronto on 27th Sept by Eithad Airways via Abu Dhabi.It was a long tiring journey but overwhelmed by excitement. Inflight service from Abu Dhabi to Toronto, especially ,was exceptional.One hour before landing we were given declaration cards.1 card for four persons in a family.After entering the terminal, 1st we went to Immigration counter ,where he check & scan our passports, checked the declaration cards & copr ,asked us the amount we carrying and in which form.Then we proceed to new immigrant section.
There an officer asked us for the passports & landing papers, made us signed corp in front of him.After that we collected our luggage and proceed to custom counter.There a lady officer cheked our copr & passports and asked about goods to follow list.She took 2 copies of it & stamp it.All the staff was very courtious & welcoming.Our relatives were waiting for us outside.It took us approx 2-3 hours to come out of terminal.
Next day We rented a 2 bed rooms apartment in ERin mills(already searched by our relative),opened an account in Scotia bank .They gave a free locker for 1 year .We got our sin #from service canada office.
On monday we,ll go for school admission ,health card,cctb etc.
So far we're loving the place & our stay here.Thanks to all the forum members for their help and advices that make our landing so smooth..Best of luck to all!!
