IELTS Request: 7.5 band
Med's Request: 17-11-2011
Med's Done....: 18-11-2011
Interview........: wavied
VISA ISSUED...: 14-12-2011
LANDED..........: Soon Inshallah

Today i got my visa stamped . . . em so excited. . . but there is a small hinch . . . they stamped my visa with 1 year validity . . . while the attached document says that the VO allows me a 2 years visa . . . with his sign underneath ofcourse. and my course is also of 2 years . . . did the CHC stamped 1 year visa by mistake ? ? ? and what should i do now? ? ?

i thnk 2 year is study permit which is always equal to ur duration of study, after 1 year u can easily extend ur visa for 1 more year...itz my opinion bt i m nt sure.. any ways jus chilll...!!!!!!!!

Hi congrats.

Study Permit is based on that letter (Letter of Introduction).  The good part is you might receive 2 years study permit directly, the only part you will have to take care is apply for TRV extension once you are there.

You shouldn't face any problem so far as you actually study there as you have officially been allowed to enter Canada and soon will be allowed a Study Permit.  Emailing isn't the method to apply for the extension, you will to apply once you are in Canada.

TRV= Temporary Resident Visa, the Visa that you have been offered.

bt what is the criteria? a frnd of mine got a 3 years visa for 2 years course . . . I got 1 year visa for 2 yr course.

Criteria is Da Vinci Code, unknown to all. Smiley  But you will surely get the extension so don't worry.
