Thanks sa advice... for sure i will use legal ways.. but i think kaloka really found someone could process for 1 month annulment...once judge and mataas na tao sa NSO kakilala ng middle man mo for sure it will do... sometimes nga lang nakakatakot mag gamble...

Quebec_visitor, madali divorce as long as walang contest ex husband mo with the divorce documents, have agreement and let him sign it before filing for the divorce, baka bigla magbago ang isip. From my experience, nag usap kami before sa divorce agreement and bigla nag disagree. So ginawa ng lawyer ko here in Alberta, nag set ng court hearing and finally na grant divorce ko after a year.
Kaloka, yes I will do timeline as soon na finalize ko documents ko. Hopefully soon  Grin

@ kaloka, concerned lang si leeneljane na baka ma misrepresent mo self mo, CIC have their own ways of investigating and there are a lot of cases in CanLii of misrepresentation and was deported but i haven`t read of a case where a person had her Philippine annulment processed in a record one month time and was sent home.  You comply with all the requirements needed in your Spousal Application and that is the most important thing.
i just feel bad though that we`re tolerating this kind of corrupt practices in our country(no pun intended).  I`m also doing my annulment right now, filed it May 2010, last hearing(psychologist as witness) on June 2012.  I`m just thankful that i have a supportive and understanding partner.

Thanks for that info Ms. Len. Sa wednesday ill meet to a lawyer and discuss this matter. I called the CIC and i ask them if i could submit my application once i filed a divorce even no result yet. and the CIC agent said that will do. and once divorce is granted then i could send it to the visa office where i submit my appplication... so im looking forward na mag start na ma file ung divorce ko so i could submit my immigration application

Well just imagine it took my annulment a total of 14 months from filing until the decision was made on May 2011, and many were saying it's fast enough.  It's bec. it was uncontested, no properties involve and no child custody battle too...  how much more if all these three was included???  it may take 3 to 4 years, yikes!!!!    Child custody battle for my kids is on going now, I just started a few months ago...

Thank u....

Hi there,i had also my divorce done..i am frm Alberta, i filed on sept 2011 and was granted just this january. i only pay $210.00 ...so ,kaya mo rin yan! you dont have to get a lawyer or wag kang paloko sa ibang pinay na magpapabayad ng $1,000 just to help u filling- in the papers...you better consult to the family law centre in your province, doon maraming tutulong sayo.Good luck!

@  KALOKA can i get your PM? i would like to ask some question. I really believe you, there are people who can do impossible things and it was proven by some of the people i know, you just get to know them and get connected, and yes it is a real gamble and it is your life to choose which route you will use. If you want to go to a normal route and patiently wait for your chance, then its ok.
Philippines is the country that you can do impossible things if you have money, they can manipulate everything, i am not convincing you to do those things against your will, but KALOKA'S statement is definitely TRUE.......

Thank you for the reply...actaully I have appointment already in the 15th to a lawyer here in quebec...The CIC told me that i could get a divorce here and they accept it...its only in our country they dont recognize it.....but i am also considering of legal separation in Pinas...kaso hirap maghanap ng lawyer na mapapabilis ang processing...

As long as you have stayed in Canada for at least six months, you can divorce your Filipino husband, even though you are both Filipino Citizen, and yes you can remarry after the divorce.

I didn't read the other replies so I'm not sure if I'm repeating things that have already been said but here goes.....

1. You can apply as common-law, no need to divorce.
2. After 1 year residency you can divorce him here in Canada, it will be recognized everywhere except The Philippines.
3. Canada does not agree with or recognize a no divorce policy which is why it allows you to apply as common law.
4. You can not get married to your current partner in Canada unless you are divorced or annulled.
5. You are common law if you can prove your relationship, and that you have been living together for at least a year.
6. You would have to show that your marriage in The Philippines is over. We just used a notarized document signed by her attesting their relationship is finished.
7. You need your partners approval and have that person sign in order to bring your kids to Canada. I don't have a lot of info in this area.

Hope some of those answers help!
