same feeling Ey Asitoja, ang kasabay ko sa nursing application haha. Musta na? You plan to go to Canada this March right? Ako sa May pa naman for June examination? Nakapag review ka na ba? Wala pa rin ako visa, November 17,2010 ko sent. Ok lang yun as long as I know na dadating sya hehe. Kailangan ba yung CCIP na meeting? I haven't sent it pa. Maybe I should check it out.

To apply for work here ang unang hahanapin syo ng employer is SIN.. If you are a tourist you cannot get a SIN card.

Hi, you have to take the mccee here, its available at ateneo grad school in makati. but you have to send your credentials to the repository for verification. once you passed the mccee, thats the only time you can sit theMCCQE 1 and 2 which is only available in canada. Once you passed the 1st part, then that is the only time you can be lined up for internship( which is based on some stories would take you sometime before you land one) To practice as a doctor you have to pass the part 2.. Its sad, but we have to go thru it again. But I've read somewhere that there is a pilot project by the minister but it is to incorporate the skills of foreign trained doctors as paramedics or other related field.

Hi heres the letter that I was talking about..It was posted here before and I am just reposting this. I hope you wont be discouraged by this.. MUST READ PLEASE, WHAT CANADIAN MINISTER SAYS ABOUT DOCTORS; These are significant steps forward to ensuring processes are fair, consistent, transparent and above all timely. As I mentioned, Canada's Economic Action Plan invested $50 million in order to continue our work with the provinces on this new approach. We're doing a lot of other interesting programs. I'll just give you one example. In Edmonton I met a medical doctor trained in Syria, an obstetrician. She was trained there, delivered hundreds of babies, moved to Canada with a dream of becoming a practicing physician here and has instead been cleaning hotel rooms for the past six years. That's the human tragedy of this. The woman was in tears when she explained to me her sense of humiliation and struggle and disappointment. In a sense there's too many people like that to whom we sell the dream of working in their profession in Canada implicitly through our immigration process but for whom the dream has turned out to be a disappointment. We must do what we can to open up the doors of opportunity for women and men like that. I met her in the context of a program we were launching in Edmonton to give foreign trained physicians like her who had for various reasons been unable to obtain their licensing through the medical college, the physicians' college, training on how to become paramedics in Canada. We took a group of 40 foreign trained physicians there in Edmonton, training them on the technical aspects of working as a paramedic in Canada so they could at least get their foot into the labour market in the medical profession, develop some Canadian work experience, learn some of the different Canadian specific aspects of patient care, and also have the emotional and professional satisfaction of at least working with patients. We are funding and piloting programs like that right across the spectrum of regulated professions. Having said that, Canadians certainly don't want us to lower Canadian standards. They don't want people who aren't up to the Canadian standard as engineers building our bridges. They don't want people operating on us who aren't properly trained surgeons. We can't ask the licensing bodies to reduce their requirements and that's not what this is about. It's about having a streamlined and reasonably quick process for credential recognition. If their qualifications don't measure up to Canadian standards, at least we can tell them how much additional training they might need or if they might want to look into work in a similar field where they still might be able to apply their skills and experience.

Hi, curious lang-pag ba mey AOR na (1st and 2nd) ibig sabihin nun qualified ka na for the application? takot lang ako, nagapply kc ako under FSW3, I am currently working in Canada for almost 2 years, ndi skilled pero I had skilled experience in the Philippines for 3 yrs straight prior to working here, tapos I passed the 67 points- this means eligible nman na ako diba? lalo na they provided me with a file number na? ayoko sana magpaaffect sa mga nega, pero I also want to make sure but I am leaning more towards believing that it has now been considered and is in process, plus I hired a consultant pa, so malamang nega lang tlaga ung nagshare nun no...let me know ur thoughts nman..I submitted my application though prior to June 2009, so pasok naman un diba? thanks ha..hope to hear back from you guys. thanks again!

if you manage to enter canada under TRV ( temp visit visa or tourist visa) the validity of your visa will be 6 months and you need to leave canada before your visa expiration. Under the rule of visit visa.. it is illegal to work while on visit visa.. if during your visit and you manage to get a job offer.... then your prospective employer will apply to HRDSC to obtain LMO.. if LMO issued then they will send it to your country of origin for processing... but.... you cannot work legally once LMO issued during your visit visa period.

Guys, thank you so much for your reply. I heard na mahirap daw ma-approve tourist visa for nurses to Canada? True ba? About the cap reached, so all I have to do is wait until July? Napansin ko, yun sa LPN category, hindi pa puno, do you think okay lang na yun na lang applyan ko kahit nurse ako? Kasi sabi ng friend ko, kahit daw dumating ka sa Canada if you dont have eligibilty to write their exam or di ka lisensyado dun, LPN ka pa din daw. So if luckily makuha mo FSW under LPN, dun na lang mag-apply for the licensing. Go na ba ko sa LPN? Also, last na to. Ask ko lang sa mga nakakaalam, if nag-apply ka ba sa Nova Scotia for example na lugar tapos na-approve, pero pagdating mo dun sa Alberta ka titira for a while, acceptable ba yun? Salamat sa inyo!
