Hey fellow pinoys, Just wana share... i just received my letter requesting for medicals and right of landing fee.  Yahooo!

.... I just have 1 concern.... My application is with my common-law partner (we're both single) I am the principal and he is a dependent. Now, my concern is ... In the leter it stated that my status is common-law (which is correct) and the status of my dependent is married (which is wrong) We both submitted our Cenomar. What will i do? Do i have to contact the embassy to have it changed before medicals or just go on with medicals and inform then later?

CPA2CANADA ....

Based on my experience, we got our bank drafts at bpi paseo. We paid in USD and they charged us a couple of dollars for the processing fee. I do not have an account with BPI paseo. I think they can issue even if you do not have an account with them.  Just my experience.

I hired a consultancy. They said they submitted my application last May 7, 2009. No 2nd AOR until now like what Maybelle received. The disadvantage of consultancy is that even if you complete your documents early, they still would review them along with the others who would submit later. I found myself cramming because it was only in the last week of april did they start reporting to me problems with the documents I gave them although they received it early March. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Sana nga na-i-submit nila kc my 120-day deadline expired on May 12.

thanks, Maestra..

i actually hired a consultant too.. i hope they will be fast in reviewing the documents because its my actual problem.. i passed my other documents (the one that is needed to be reviewed, i think u know what im talking about) 3-4 weeks ago and i haven't received a reply yet. im worried that it will take about a month for them to review that and will tell me i have to make major revision and onced pass3ed, will take another few weeks.. Sad

is the canadian immigration very particular and meticulous with documents and job descriptions? i wonder if i can do it without any consultants but i paid already

yes, they are strict with regards to documents and noc.
it's not easy but you can do it yourself. it'll take up a lot of your time to read the instructions in the canadian web site carefully and you can ask all your questions in this forum.
