imig_roy,

For the military service, I don't think you need to include your ROTC because its part of your school curriculum. Not unless you might have continued towards attaining a higher level in your ROTC that extended your regular curriculum towards attaining a Reservist Rank. This trainings are usually given but not in the collegiate level.

For your IELTS, what we did was to file our initial application without taking the IELTS. Our score was based on our conservative assessment of my husbands rating of himself. We just attached a letter that tried to explain why we scored ourself with that rating. When we where advised to submit the full documentation to the local visa office sa makati, dun na nagexam ang husband ko. Ok naman because he was able to get a higher score than what we expected.

In our case, hindi na kami makaenroll dahil my husband works and cant find time to review. We relied on review materials sa internet (we found out later on that yun din ang gamit ng mga review centers, meron lang silang taga research sa internet at he compiles this data) at mga materials ng mga previous examinees. until then... submit ka na at time is at the essence.

I. Sa imm0008egen (application for PR)
    1. family name and given name(s) lang nakalagay sa mga forms, so no need to specify middle name?
    2. on no. 19 identity card: is this our iqama? (sa mga applicants living in KSA)

II. IMM0008_1E (schedule 1 -background)
    1. sa no 14 (military service)...is ROTC considered military service?

III. IMM008_3E (schedule 3 - economic class)
1.sa no. 6 have you take an approved test to asses your proficiency in English or French
        a. NO (as of now) what evidence can I provide?
        b. Mag IELTS ba muna ko then pass the application? O pwedeng magpass ng application tapos saka ako magexam ng IELTS?

IV. IMM5406E (additional family info)
     1. Marital Status: Diba ndi applicable satin ang common-law? Pwede bang indicate dito live-in partner?

Maraming salamat!!! God bless!

1. it says there, write it as what is shown in your passport... so mine... i still wrote my middle name in the third line
2. just write there N/A... ROTC is not included
3. IELTS result test should be attached (IF AVAILABLE), but you can still submit it even without that...
though some still strongly recommend getting passing IELTS first before submitting. depends on you
4. live-in partner is COMMON-LAW PARTNER in its formal term po... they do accept it... i'm applying with my CLP...

don't hesitate to ask questions...
goodluck po!

@   shimmeringblush Ako i recent applied to FSW & AINP sa alberta naman un. Currently sa FSW nasa 6-12months time frame pa rin although mejo bumagal na lately from i heard sa forums. Try mo rin sa FSW although may initial na bayad agad for processing unlike sa MPNP or provincial nominee program (PNP).

hey, albularyo! Gaano kabilis?

Should I update my MPNP application re: passport?

Yes, you should renew your passport para di ka na madelay pa. Wala ako kilala na may sabay na application kasi siguro din separate sila post sa forum ng PNP & FSW but im certain that it wont affect your application as long as parehas ung nideclare mo sa 2 syempre otherwise, tatamaan ka sa misrepresentation etc.

Hi Jandi,
Thanks for the update. I haven't received request for medical yet. I'm still waiting... Don't know why post office is taking too long to deliver. : ) Nevertheless, will wait for another week before I follow up the embassy. Maybe it got lost somewhere..

God Bless on your medicals.

Hello everyone,

I'm new in this forum so I hope you guys can help me. I am trying to apply under the FSW program.  I am an RN here in USA but I only have 2 years experience.  I already sent my application in Ontario for assessment and I am planning to send my application to Canadian immigration next month.

1.  What is my educational score.  I have 2 university degrees.  One BS commerce and the other one BS nursing.  Is that under 2 university degrees and 15 years full time study? I don't get the full time study, is that from elementary to highschool or up to university?
2.  Can you guys give me a time line from application to visa approval? I already took my IELTS exam and I scored 8.5, I only took the general training module though.

I am happy for all those who have their visas already.  Someday, I hope to get one too :p

MAM2KARL :
AND anybody who can help me

I am ana and i just recently passed my federal skilled worker application to NS last october 2 this year.  They received it during that time also .  I read your answer with regards to the IELTS test result.  I was able to put YES on the no 6 QUESTION if i took an english proficiency test.  Di ba nakalagay doon na to provide a copy of IELTS TEST RESULT .  I wasnt able to provide a copy po .. i will be getting my IELTS this november 7 pa .  I am quite afraid that my application might be denied.  What you think?

Is there a possibility na they will accept my application and then ask me to submit to them a copy of IELTS result.

Hope you can enlighten me about this

in my opinion....you have to provide proof of language proficiency if you answer NO since it is specifically mentioned in the form.....suggest you submit once you have the IELTS result...

God bless...

CPA2CANADA,

Thanks for the vote of confidence.  I am a little bit worried about my application. I was doing it on my own.  I dont have any immigration lawyer or consultancy.  Anyway, it is not an excuse.  Yung co worker ko nga nagka problema rin sa papeles nila but NS still approve their papers.  They just resubmitted it to NS the lacking documents.

Thanks again.
