che74, our RPRF check was encashed 14 days after we sent it to the embassy. Also, we submitted the new passports already although yung old green passports were still valid until 2010 we decided to renew and get the new one. Buti na lang we did renew.

Maybell at Arexie.....thanks for sharing the good news today to other hopefuls.....
Viba....14 working days ung experience ko last year when I renewed my passport...I had it sa POEA - DFA...less than an hour lng ang processing unlike sa DFA Main.....i suggest sa POEA k n lng magpa renew...pwde mo na rin ma expedite.....para mas mabilis.....
To my other batchmates (July 2009 Full Docs Filers).....i know lapit na rin yan.....God bless guys....

viba, mabilis lang naman mag renew.yung alam po the regular renewal is 14 days from he date of personal arrearance but you can have it expedited with the additional payment of P250 magiging 7 days na lang sya. Mag pa renew ka na lang para iwas problema. Kahit hindi pa naman expired yung green passport pwede mo naman mapa renew.

hi viba....good to know you are also a CPA.....actually i already inquired with the CICA (Chartered Accountant) and CGA (Certified General Accountant) in Canada....based on their reply....Philippine CPAs are not recognized in Canada, we have to have certain Canadian Experience and further studies to sit in their board examinations.....we cannot get any eligibility like the RNs here to just sit for the exam....we have to be there physically to be a member of CICA and CGA after meeting certain requirements....and to take the board exam eventually...
how about you? if you have any idea on these please let me know too...

hi CPA2Canada,
been reading on their FCO (Foreign Credentials Office) website for sometime now and i've learned that accountant is a regulated profession in most of Canadian provinces/cities and each has their own regulatory body responsible for our accreditation.
i also read that we need to gain some Canadian experience and do some upgrade in our studies to qualify for the examination. might go for the Canadian experience first.
i believe that London embassy is a bit faster than Manila embassy but i'm not quite sure
i just hope that we'll get our medicals and our visa the soonest!

Che - within manila lang ako... ortigas area... takot nga ako na ma-lost in transit naman siya... kasi last time ganun ang nangyari.
