Tumagal na rin ang processing sa CIU, NS. I sent my initial application 1 July and they received 7 July. To date, I haven't received any AOR or their initial assessment. Keep on praying everybody, darating din mga inaantay natin.

Hi jtob,
Naisip ko lang...
I think the usual procedure in re-applying is... withdraw first the previous application (& agent). Then re-apply...
But since Im still here in the gulf, it might take time to get response from the embassy. Hence, do you think I can send my re-application now? then while waiting for the new AOR, that's when I'll notify the embassy about the withdrawal of my 2007 application...
Do you see any future conflict here?
How about the other guys? Any idea?
For our kids!

plan2012, you don't need to withdraw your old application before applying under the new rule. you can have 2 applications at the same time, kaya lang you have 2 payments pending with them, but you can always withdraw your old application later when they send you an update letter if you are still interested to continue with your old application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2009/ob101.asp Can applicants have both a pre-C-50 FSW application and a C-50 application? Yes, applicants may have multiple FSW applications. The applicant can choose to either maintain the first application and submit a new C-50 application with a new processing fee; or withdraw the first application and submit a C-50 application. If an applicant chooses to withdraw their pre-C-50 application before processing begins, they will receive a refund. Missions should inform applicants that they cannot advise whether the original FSW application or the C-50 application will be a faster process. Missions should avoid recommending a particular course of action to applicants. IMO, just apply under new rules if your noc is in thew 38, and see which application goes 1st.

alpha romeo, i think its better that they transfered your file to manila instead of buffalo. manila is faster, while buffalo applications not moving at all. you can check out the timelines of manila applicants in trackitt.
the only difference in your procedure will be: 1. you have to get PCC from USA. 2. your medicals can be done in the USA while your family here in manila. 3. when PPR arrives.

Hi. Im working here in Dubai for almost 3 years now, and i had submitted my application in one of the agency here as well, i just want to ask if all the previous company i had mentioned on my Cv will be contacted for verification purposes or only the latest company they will contact to? Please throw a light on this matter, because the first company i joined was already closed and the second one is existing but i did not really work there, so im afraid this will be problem that i'l be facing.. 8( Thank you

Hi all! Im new in this forum and really glad to have stumbled into this website. I'm trying to decide whether to apply under FSW of Provincial Nominee. Initially, I was leaning toward Provincial Nominee due to a shorter processing time. But after reading through this thread, mukhang under FSW nalang ako mag-aapply. Nakaka-encourage talaga yung mga experiences niyo... By any chance, is there anyone here applying under NOC 2161(Statistician)? It's not one of the 38 jobs in priority eh kaya medyo worried ako that my application will take much longer or even worse, they might deem it as not eligible...

What a piece of advised, jtob!
And when I followed that link... my mind was opened to a more wider understanding of the entire process.
Thanks once again, bro!
Hi Mom2Karl, once you get your visas, are you planning to go to Canada immediately?
CPA2Canada, see you this Thurs!

hi i_am_me, i've checked your noc 2161, and its not in the 38 jobs. it's not advisable to apply under fsw, because they will reject you outright if you use that noc code, however try to check if you had previous job experiences in other noc codes thats in the 38 in the last 10 years. if you had at least 1 year experience you may be eligible. if you're not in the 38 jobs, i would advise you to apply through the PNP route.

plan2012,
so ano? mag apply ka na under new rules? go na! now na!
my son & i just had our medical exam this morning at nationwide. 2 hours lang! 7:45 to 9:45. nasaktan lang ako sa pagkuha ng dugo, kasi di makakita ng big vein, palipat lipat yung rubber band sa arm ko, kaya pa-side tinurok yung needle to draw blood. the girl warned me naman na it will be a little painful because of that pero overall, smooth processing naman. in case there are no findings, they will forward the results to the embassy within 15 days. hopefully!
right now, plan namin is maka-graduate sa prep tong anak ko bago umalis. pinapatagal pa talaga ng lolo at lola nya ang alis namin. but who knows, once i get a hold of our visas, i might change my mind. God will lead the way.
@ i_am_me, jtob is right. i believe your application will be rejected outright if you take the fsw1 route and your noc is not one of the 38.
@ dyuls, it depends on the visa officer of the visa office where you sent your application. sakin kasi they did not contact my employer anymore kasi match naman yung listed duties ko sa coe from my previous employer. if they need further clarification most probably they will contact them, except for the one that has closed down. i did not understand the part where you said "the second one is existing but i did not really work there". there's always a chance that they will contact your employer so....
