TrinatoCanada,

Trina, do you already have any idea why you are called for interview? Did you order CAIPS? Caips can tell you kung bakit ka tinawag for interview. London visa office din ako. Pupunta kang London? or you are currently in London? Asking lang, di natin alam baka ipatawag din ako for interview. God Bless na lang sa interview mo.

hi aspire,
nope, still no idea why we were called for interview.  its too late to order for caips now.  interview will be held here in abu dhabi but london visa office will still have final decision.  just a few weeks nalang, ill keep everyone posted on what happens.

I have one more concern pala.. i am in the process of registering to SRNA (saskatchewan) for eligibility. I believe all my requirements reached SK by Dec 2009 but no response/email yet from them. My question is, will it affect my application for FSW? Do I have to declare or tell that to them? Im afraid I will be denied of the eligibility or that i will get the eligibilty in 8 months as i was told... thank you

No, it will not affect your PR application at all. It is a good move to start for the nursing registration process while PR application is in process. And there is no need to declare it in your PR application. I am doing this, and I know few others doing the same. I just got my IQAS assessment and yeyyy!!! I dont have to undergo any bridging programs as my educational credentials from primary, secondary and my Bachelors nursing degree is found to be equivalent with Canadian standards. I think Saskatchewan nursing registration needs the IQAS assesment too as part of the requiements, right?

Char and imbubbles,

Yes Char, I applied for Manitoba, wala na kasi bridging programs, ipasa mo lang ang CRNE, RN ka na. Di kagaya sa Ontario, kailangan LPN muna. Hopefully and God willing, after 2 years working as RN in Manitoba, we plan to transfer to Toronto, I heard its easier route to take than going straight to Toronto and comply requirements for RN.

Imbubbles, Hindi pa ako nakakuha ng eligibility. IQAS pa lang po ang nakuha ko. One of the requirements for eligibility approval. Pero submitted ko na lahat ng requiremments to CRNM.

IQAS is International Qualification Assesment Services. Dito i assess ang educational credentials ng mga professionals na gusto mag work sa Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba at iba pang province. Ang ICES and SEC yata ang counterpart ng IQAS for the province of Ontario. Ang sabi ng CRNM, registration approval can be expected 3 months from the time complete application requirements are received. I am expecting for the approval 2.5 months from now. Sana. God willing i will get the approval.

Just wanted to know when did you take your nursing licensure exam here? was being licensed nurse here helps in the assessement, or should be a board passer as one of the requirement? Thanks.

Hi Aspire,

Just wanted to know when did you take your nursing licensure exam here? was being licensed nurse here helps in the assessement, or should be a board passer as one of the requirement? Thanks.

As per my research, in order to practice as a nurse in Canada, one must have:

1. License as a nurse from her/his home country and/or license from other countries outside Canada other than from your home country
2. At least one year experience as a nurse from home country or from countries outside of Canada
3. With educational credentials, equivalent to that of Canadian standards.
4. Eligibilty approval from the nursing regulating body of the province you are applying
5. Pass the CRNE exam.
6. Canadian experience of at least a year.

You need requirements 1-3 to get 4 and you need 4 to be eligible to sit for the CRNE + at least a year of Canadian experience before they will issue the license as a RN.

I took my PRC licensure exam in 1990. PRC license is not needed for educational credential assessment but is one of the requirements for CRNE eligibility registration. IQAS will assess your primary, secondary and your bachelors degree if it is equivalent to that of the Canadian standards. IQAS assessment is one of the requirements.

I am applying for Manitoba nursing registration. Requirements may vary depending on the province.

The link below will guide you on how to apply for nursing registration in Manitoba.

http://www.crnm.mb.ca/applicants-international.php

Each province has its own requirements and procedure.
