FILIPINOS Applying for FSW after June 26, 2010

Hi all,

I'd like to start this thread for all Filipino applicants under FSW (Category 1 or 2) for submission after June 26, 2010. With all the changes in procedures and process, I hope we can all help enlighten each other with issues that will come our way.

I have not yet submitted an application as I am planning to apply under category #2 - w/arranged employment. My employer just submitted the AEO application and although it may take a few weeks to process that, I am getting my application ready with the documents required such as NSO Birth cert, school and work credentials.

Well, I hope to get some conversation goin.

and me im planning to submit my application too...under category 1 but i am afraid maybe i will be rejected because of my major operation (they removed my gallbladder due to polyps and ulcers)

A friend of mine who recently got his visa for canada inquired regarding the IELTS before he took the exam. Nurses kami by the way and have plans to register in British Columbia's BON. According to the e-mail reply he received from the embassy, both General and Academic is acceptable results as they are both enough proof daw. He got the reply last January 2010 pa. I took the ACADEMIC and will submit full documents this week hopefully.

Majority of us in the workplace took the ACADEMIC kasi we also have colleagues who left early this year for canada na yun din ang kinuha. Hope this helps kahit papano.

As of posting time general lang ang pwede for immigration at tama ang naiisip mo na kung kailangan mo ang acedemic for registration to any regulation bodies ay kailangan mong kumuha ulit.

We must take the general training module now since the rules have changed. I too was in denial before that they will accept academic as my occupation is 3152, Registered Nurse, but different bodies of organization have different rules, so we have to follow it. In addition, its the risk of submitting an incorrect one then returning the documents to you, knowing that cap is now in progress is not a good move. Nurses must retake IELTS and take a General Module as soon as possible to ensure that your application will be processed this year.
