Welcome to this thread christian _CRK and roselleyalung!
Zsashimi, Ako din ganyan, nagkamali spelling ng name ko sa receipt and Ecas then nung June nag submit ako ng request for correction and mabilis lang correct na yung sa Ecas. I'm also hoping na mapansin yung application ko. Sana nga effective ang pagpapapansin natin, hehe. BTW, how did you know na they will finish all 2004/2005 applicants this year?

Gico, May nangbanggit sa Forum.. may nilagay din syang link for the news.. unfortunately hindi ko na mahanap san yun.. dko pala na-save sa favorites ko yung link.. Pero sana totoo nga kasi sabi nila kaya daw naglagay ng cap sa applicants this year para mapagtuunan na nila ng pansin yung backlogs.. Sana nga effective.. grabe na kasi yung waiting period.. next month pwede na ako mag-follow up kasi 66th month ko bukas.. hehehe.. d ba sabi pag umabot ng 67 months na walang update pwede na mag-follow up.. so since malapit lang naman office ko sa Canadian Embassy, tatakas na naman ako sa office.. hehehe

Is this good news or bad news?

I think this is good news to old applicants like us. I really pray hard for a faster processing of our papers, we've been waiting for years... Is this good news or bad news?

I'm happy that somehow one of the applicants from the old system ( Albert_alo) already received a visa. It gives me hope that ours (old system) has not really been forgotten. again, CONGRATULATIONS TO ALBERT_ALO! Good luck and God Bless.

@ Gico: Tama ka.. it gives hope to us na more than 5 years in waiting na malaman may na-approve na from the backlogs...
Sana pag nakuha na natin yung ating mga visa, we still get to keep in touch.. I think iba-ibang cities ang destination natin but It would be nice to have some friends within Canada. :-)

hello guys,
a friend of mine forwarded me this link. I would just like to ask a few questions, i hope somebody here can help me.
here is my details
applied for FSW: 2005 as single got a reciept: 2006 got a letter asking if i'd continue with my application: 2009 So with that, i didn't repy as per instructed if id go thru with my application. now 2010, i Just got married and i got myself a new born baby.
My question are: How will this affect my application? Do i need to notify or update the Visa office on my current status? what do i need to do with regards to my pending application?
if any of you had any similar experience, please do let me know what is the best course of action i need to take. Your opinions are greatly appreciated. thanks

You need to submit an updated application which includes details of your spouse and child. You also have to submit your marriage certificate. As a principal applicant, you also need to show proof that you have sufficient funds if ever you are applying together with your family. If you're plan is to go to Canada alone for now, you still need to submit documents of the change in status. Plus when the request for you to undergo the medicals, you would need to have your family undergo medical even if they will not accompany you yet. If you wont submit them to the medical during the time you undergo the medical, you wont be able to sponsor them to Canada. Seniors in the forum please correct me if I'm wrong or add if I missed on anything.
