Regarding Processing Times
On November 2, 2011 I noticed that, as posted in their website, the processing times for the immigrant applicants from the Philippines (Date of Update: October 28, 2011) was 77 months. When I checked it this morning the processing times is 76 months (Date of Update: July 26, 2011). I'm just wondering what factor made them decide to repost the July 26, 2011 update.

Dito ba na site mo na check yan nmiole?

Yes, that is the site that I was referring to. They already updated that with 77 months processing period sometime last week of October 2011.

Hi Guys, It's my first time to post here... but matagal na akong nagbabasa ng mga posts dito.. i just thought of sharing our timeline with you.. My husband is the principal applicant, and he applied on Feb 2005. Last July pa kami tapos magpamedical, and just when we thought PPR na ang kasunod, the embassy requested for my FBI clearance (kc i stayed in the US for more than 6 months). It took us 14 weeks bago makuha ang FBI .. last Nov 9 lang namin nasend ang FBI clearance to the embassy, so now we're waiting for our PPR. We're hoping na since July pa naman nasa kanila ang medical results namin and we've also paid the PPRF in July, sana mas mabilis na ang PPR. feeling namin nakalimutan lang nila tlaga hingin ung FBI ko, it should have been requested together with the NBI clearance and Singapore police clearance (I'm based in SG right now). Does anybody know if ma-grant na kami ng VISA, ang expiration pa rin ba nun is July which is when our medical certificates were issued? Para kasing nawalan kami ng 3 months because of the FBI, and we want to know how much time we will have bago mag-land sa canada. Would appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Yup, ang basis ng validity ng visa is 1 yr from the time you had your first medical. Don't worry dadating din yan.

Hi Guys:
I received an email from the Canadian Embassy in Manila just this morning. Below is the complete text of the said email.
Dear Applicant:
Your application is in queue for review. An exact review schedule is not yet available and no further action is required by you at this time. Please be informed that changes to immigration law in 2008 allow Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to set, through Ministerial Instructions (MI), the number and type of applications considered for processing each year, and the order in which these applications will be processed. Under the first set of instructions (MI-1) CIC used this new authority under immigration law to control the type of applications received, but not the number. The number of applications received exceed the ability to process them in a timely way. CIC introduced caps on June 26, 2010 on the FSW program as part of the second MI. CIC has limited the intake of new FSW applications to better match the number CIC can actually process within the annual levels plan tabled in Parliament. FSW applications under the second MI are processed on a priority basis. CIC has received enough FSW applications since February 27, 2008 to reach immigration levels for the next two years. Unfortunately, it will take longer to process those submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected. This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the program in 2011. Therefore, few applications received before February 27, 2008 (processed in the order they are received) are expected to be processed this year or next. CIC's goal is to make the immigration system more responsive to labour market needs. By giving priority to FSW applications received on or after June 26, 2010, CIC is responding to the most urgent labour market needs first. The length of time it takes to finalize an application under this program varies from one visa office to another since visa offices face different challenges. CIC continues to work towards global service standards and the use of departmental standard forms to minimize such regional variations as much as possible. We hope that you will find this information satisfactory in responding to your questions and concerns.
Yours sincerely,
Skilled Worker Unit - Section des travailleurs qualifiés Immigration Section - Bureau de visa Canadian Embassy, Manila - Ambassade du Canada, Manille Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza 6819 Ayala Avenue Makati City 1200, Philippines Fax: (632) 843-1094[/i][/i]
My OAR was July 7, 2005 (will be 77 months on December 7, 2011). I was planning to make a follow-up after December 7, 2011 sana. I think the embassy is sending the same email to all applicants.
