Hi po. I emailed CNO for follow-up on my RPN application. Below is their reply. What's the decision letter all about? eligibility na kaya yan?

Thank you for your email.

Your application forms and fee were received on June 9, 2011. Your payment was processed.
Course descriptions and transcript were received on June 15, 2011 from Our Lady of Fatima University, Philippines.

Your initial assessment processing time is up to 12 weeks from June 15, 2011. A decision letter will be mailed to your address on file once your assessment is completed.

Prinsipe, pakishare once they send you the decision letter at kung ano additional requirements... Ano nga pala ginamit mo for payment? credit card?
Magsend pa lang ako next week ng application and TOR/ course description from the school. Ang worry ko kasi is I might be in Canada already pag ipadala nila decision letter. Magrequest din kaya sila Verification of employment sa RPN? Mahirap pa naman maasikaso yun  sa employer ko if I am not physically here in Manila.
Anyone here who has applied for RPN and received a decision letter? Ano po content.
TIA.  Smiley Smiley Wink

Hi resolute, yes I used credit card for payment. We have the same worries, baka wala nako sa Pinas pag sinend nila decision letter kasi our flight is on July 26 na. Maybe I can email na lang my new address in Ontario. I don't know if they will still request other verifications like PRC. Sana nga hanggang nandito pa tayo, maasikaso na natin. What can we do, it's beyond our control. Goodluck sa application mo.

rslcanada,

TRV and Tourist visa are just one and the same.

Just like any other rich western countries, Canada will issue a TRV based on ones personal circumstances like financial standing, family ties, previous travel history or any other things that could prove you intend not to permanently stay in Canada and that you will go back to your own country after the visa expiry date. Sadly for a nurse, even if you have an an invitation letter from a relative or the College, if you don't have a huge amount of money in your bank and an extensive travel history outside of the Philippines, it would be hard to break the presumption that you will over stay or not leave Canada after the visa expiry date.

Hi CarribRN,

In my case, I really don't know why did the consulate officer denied my Temporary Resident Visa / Tourist Visa. As I've said, I got 3 Letters of Invitation namely from College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg, and from my cousin. In addition, the funds that I showed the Canadian Embassy was the same amount I forwarded in my separate application (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program) which is almost 12,000 CAD. In addition, I have a good travel history. A 2 short duration trip to USA within the last 5years. As a matter of fact, my passport also has my US tourist visa valid until 2020. I am currently employed and I applied for 2month leave of absence. That's why, I keep scratching my head. Why did the officer really refused my TRV application. In the Letter of Refusal, he did not specifically indicated the reason why. He simply checked one paragraph saying it could be due to one or more of the following reasons: travel history, proof of funds, limited employment prospect in the country of residence, etc..

Could it be because I am a Nurse? And nursing employment here in the Philippines are very limited? But why? I am currently employed.. Hayy... Hehehe! Bahala na si God.

Hi rslcanada,

It's really hard to get TRV/Tourist Visa. Yeah, I took IELTS. Hindi pa ako mgbridging program. Yun sana kasing Clinical Competence Assessment na itetake ko yun mgdedetermine if I am qualify to write the CRNE. Pro kung hindi ako pumasa, I need to undergo review courses or sa mga permanent residents bridging program. Limited lang kasi yun slots ng bridging program kaya dedicated to PRs lng.

Hopeful26,

First of all, sorry to hear about your sad news. Yeah, your case is a bit strange. Had I been the consul I definitely would have approved your application. But all of these consuls think differently. The way they make decision appears to be very arbitrary at times. Parang walang pattern, diba? But really I reckon it's because you are a nurse and everyone knows that nurses in the Philippines majority if not all would like to leave the country to work overseas.

But hey, you can always try again, right? Best of luck!

hi everyone..please someone help me regarding my cno application..how do i complete the ("VERIFICATION OF REGISTRATION B-1/ B-2 FORM")
My problem is i did not take the rn exam in the philippines..so i did not submit any files to the PRC..i was already a citizen here thats why i didnt bother getting the license back in the philippines..but on the form it says that if im eligible for registration in the jurisdiction i completed my nursing program then the prc would need to verify that..so how would the prc verify that if i didnt submit anything to them???

and also regarding the b-3 form verification of course completion..when i called the customer service number they said they they've only received my course description but the TOR and RLE hours was all on the same envelope so how is that possible? then i got a letter from CNO stating that they have received  the "verification of course completion and transcript requestion from university of perpetual help" -so does that mean they have my tor, rle hours and course desc? man im so confused!

Hi CarribRN,

Yeah. I really want to try once more. Kaya lang recently I was nominated by the province of Manitoba. Yun s Provincial Nominee Program. Kakaforward ko lng ng Permanent Residence application ko sa Canadain Embassy Manila. It'll take 10months minimum sa pagpaprocess. Hopefully It'll be okay and sana makamigrate din ako soon sa Canada. Grin

Ang issue ko naman ngayon. Until November 17 na lang yun validity ng exam appointment ko sa CRNM. Kya I need to reapply na naman. Medyo mahal din. Almost 700CAD kasama yun qualifications assessment. Tpos ngayon, tinaasan na ng CRNM IELTS requirement nila as of July 1, 2011. So, matetake na naman ako ng IELTS. Dapat kasi walang bababa sa 7. Ayun. Wish me luck. Thanks. :-)
