Hi. Anyone who applied for CRPNE? How long is the processing period before ka maging eligible? Is it true na hindi gaano strict sa requirements? Paano kung wala kang work experience sa hospital, training lang? Makakaapekto kaya yun sa application mo? Sana may sumagot.

They are not that strict unlike if you are applying as an RN. I have a friend who graduated in the Phil. way back in 1998, not a board passer and without any experience as an LPN, moreso as an RN, but got an approval or eligibility from the CNO to take the CRPNE two months ago. My friend is currently working as a nurse assistant in a tertiary hospital overseas.

I guess as long as you have a BSN you are almost automatically qualified to apply as an LPN. Although let us not forget that assessment is being done on an individual basis. What might be true for my friend could be different for others.

Welcome to the thread CarribRN! We would really appreciate input from someone like you, who has undergone the process of registration at CNO. Exam tips would also help of course.:p
I hope all Filipino nurses become eligible to take the exam. Smiley

Hi nielz. how long is the processing before you got your eligibility? So it's ok if no work experience, but still you are eligible for CRPNE. In my case, I already have an immigrant visa but i'm just starting to apply for CRPNE. Share naman your application experiences.

Hi Nielz!

My friend has a visitor visa prior to even applying for the registration and currently has a pending application for immigration.

I passed my application last March and received the eligibility letter yesterday together with the 'application for exam' form. Exam date available for me is Sept.14,2011. Meaning, I need to be in Canada before that date. My problem is...I don't have visa yet. Do you think that I can have a visitor visa by Sept?
