Hi Abilex,

I am not familiar po with ICES pero ang process po sa WES (credential assessment for Ontorio) includes online payment via internet and submission of TOR (with a form to be filled-out by the registrar) in sealed envelopes.

BTW, thanks for starting this thread.

First, thank you all for keeping this forum alive.

Second, I am bound to Vancouver and would like to have my credentials assessed by ICES. Please PM me... we received our VISA early this week and we plan to leave by September.  This is why we want to start the credentials assessment.

Thanks for the help.   Smiley

Hi to all,
Im just so glad to see this forum. We landed here in Vancouver one year ago.  I am also a CPA from the Phils. pero hindi muna ako nagwowork because of my 2 kids. Kailangan pa ba ung course description at CPA rating? Hindi ko kasi nadala yung mga yun when I went here.  Kung meron ding taga PUP Sta. Mesa sa inyo, baka pwede kayo magshare about course description BS Accountancy batch 95 ako.

Tapos dalin niyo ung driver's license niyo or kumuha kayo kasi matagal dito bago makakuha ng license, magsisimula ka sa L for 1 year tapos N for another year bago pa talaga ung class 5 license.

Nakakatuwa pala kasi may PICPA Vancouver kaya kung nakalimutan mo ung cert of good standing pwede ka dun kumuha after 3 attendance.

been so long since I last posted.  I think I'm having a change of heart...parang gusto ko na pursue ng CA. kasi ba naman ang bait nila sa akin. I had the results of my request for exemption sa CKE, SOA and practical experience requirement. they exempted me from CKE and all of the practical experience requirement! sobrang happy ko tlga! i thought i would just be given 2 years exemption sa experience requirement and i still have to land a job in a CA training office for 1 year para ma kumpleto ko yun, pero as in 3 years binigay nila sa akin...now all I have to do is register as a student, enroll in Canadian Business Law and pass the SOA and UFE Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin di gaya ng CGA na pahirapan sa transfer credits pa lng Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked ang laking gastos pa on my part kng aralin ko pa subjects na required nila Wink Wink Wink Wink di ko na kelangan hanap ng CA training office, just a related job to finance my exam prep Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

baka gusto nyo i-try...contact your provincial CA organization...

Congrats Mimi. I am also considering to pursue CA. Tanong ko lang kung nagprepare ka ba ng Experience Certification for all employers? or yung mga relevant jobs mo lang para dun sa mga required competencies? I am still thinking if kukuha pa ko ng experience certification from my past 2 jobs kasi I think ma-satisfy naman yung depth & breadth competencies with my current job.

Where do you plan to take business law? required daw ba na i-complete muna yung business law course before registering as a CA student? or pwede pagsabayin? Thanks.

tnx sigfrid! yan di ko pa na inquire, i will email them tomorrow. kasi last thursday ko lng nareceive result ng appeal ko at parang ayaw ko pa basahin that time kasi naka focus na ako sa CGA (i will be sitting in for an info session tomorrow at 2pm sa CPAC, balak ko na tlga diretso na sa CGA eh), then I re-read the msg from CA this morning, nong una ayaw pa mag sink in, until finally, get ko na  Grin Grin Grin

i just secured experience cert from my last employment. ok na yan sa u if u think na meet mo na depth and breadth ng areas required nila.
