Hi

Natapos ko din basahin ang lahat ng posts in this particular topic.

Actually, recent graduate ako of BS Accountancy last year (2010) and the same year din ako naging CPA. I have no work experience here sa Canada and even sa Pinas so medyo nahihirapan ako to find a work in line with our profession.

I already had my credentials evaluated by WES which is 3rd level ang equivalent, and planning to evaluate my TOR to CGA pero I have to find a job first para makapag-paevaluate and makatulong na din sa family.

My plans will be CGA then afterwards CA naman. Tyagaan muna sa paghahanap ng accounting job in my case. Medyo nag-aalangan ako dahil ang mga job postings for accounting clerk here is may minimum na 1-3 years experience. Sometimes naiisip ko bumalik sa Pinas dahil there are a lot of job opportunities for me lalo na sa mga auditing firm. Pero andito na ko so better accept the challenges.

For those who have 3years minimum experience sa accounting field, you can go to careerbridge.ca and see if you can qualify for paid internship programs, pwede din po i-check ang world services cargo website to help you find job placement but ang alam ko is walang bayad ito.

God bless po sa ating lahat.

Hi carladavid16!

Don't worry about it.  Just try to look for jobs there na lang.  Good thing at andyan ka na while some of us are still waiting for our application.  Balitaan mo kami sa mangyayari sayo ha. =)

hi guys..makikisali po....i just got my evaluation from CGA - Newfoundland and Labrador and got 14 subjects exemption.....I just need to take up below subjects (7 n lng)...

Business Law
Taxation 1
Business Case 2 (Audit daw)

2 Electives (depending on what you want to do either Public Practice/IT/Corporate)
2 PACE Course (Final)

Sabi nila dito 2.5 years tapos ang CGA...

Ok ang program ng CGA and i find it very useful sa work lalo na sa local taxation nila dito.

I will be starting the course on Spring Session sa March....3 months lng exam na sa June....suggest nila na one subject per session lng ang kunin natin....

Godbless guys...

Congrats, konti na lang kukunin mo! At me work ka na agad:-)
Sana kami rin makakuha agad work pagpunta dyan....but before that visa muna pala:-)

Kaylangan nyo ng certificate from PICPA for evaluation.  Good Luck!

Hi mimi!  What documents did you submit to CGA Ontario?  Thanks

for their initial evaluation?  TOR, PICPA cert of good standing, resume and marriage cert kasi iba na surname ko ngayon; application for transfer of credits,u can download from cga ontario website, pls google search na lng kasi di ko memorize Wink and payment form coz i used credit card

for the appeal?  official course description and course outline from my alma mater with cover letter, no more additional payment, could take 6-8 weeks

Hi Mimi - Ontario ka diba? San ka nagpa-evaluate.  Pa share naman ng process mo. Thanks

CGA po. but i was also evaluated by CMA, free sya. Accelerated program ang entry ko sa CMA.  But come to think of it, mas gusto ko yata CGA or maybe kasi napasubo na ako coz i paid  $ 401.56 CAD for their evaluation Grin Grin Grin

just send to CGA a certified photocopy of your TOR and the rest of d dox above according to ur situation po. the complete process is available at their website

Hi guys...i just got my materials for TX1 (Taxation)..start na ng Spring Session s March 14..i just enrolled for one subject....at un ang ineencourage nila as CGA caters to full time workers...

grabe ang kapal ng Tax Code nila.....nalula ako kanina nung binigay ung materials...considering that you will only study that for less than 3 months....

anyway guys...update ko n lng kau lagi dito about s CGA Program...

Nga pala nung nag pa evaluate ako...i gave the orig TOR/CPA Certi from PRC/Ratings/PICPA certificate of good standing.....binigay din ulit nila ung original

if sa Ontario kau mag papaevaluate..for sure..you will get the maximum exemptions which is 14 subjects....

total payments ko for this term is $1265...

Exemptions credit $200
Tax Subject           685
Enrollment Fee     100
Evaluation Fee     50
Term Fee           280

Will keep you posted guys....

Thanks for sharing your "CGA adventure" so far...sige abangan namin mga kasunod na kabanata:-)

Preho pala kayo galing sa audit ng GF mo.....at dito rin sya manggagaling Dubai.....swerte pagpunta nya dyan me work agad. Ikaw din ba pagdating mo dyan me work na rin? Ni-refer ka rin? Napansin ko nga sobrang bilis yung application nyo ilang months lang from date ng application me visa na agad. Siguro pinag-iipon pa ng Diyos ng pambaon papunta dyan...he,he.

More of corporate accounting (finance) ang background ko.
