thanks for your reply.
Do you have any idea about the job prospects in Canada for University professors (NOC 4121)?
I am bit worried because I have a decent carrier in Japan though I would like to move out of this country for the shake of the education for my kid(s).
I am also originally from India.

i think i would have to send another form as well with a cover letter. i am not sure if i was able to fill out the section "VISA OFFICE TO PROCESS APPLICATION" question in the form. hope this helps my application. i heard that some application was returned because they were not able to fill out that section in the form.

It's easier to known if your application was via a courier service. All you need to do is use the tracking number you are given to know the status of your package.
If you used a post office you might need to revert to them about delivery date.

seniors,
i had applied before in 2006 when i gave IELTS with score of 8. now again i ve given IELTS as its written on cic web site that it shud not b more than 1 year old. expectin my ielts result in few days. when i submitted my form this time in aug 2009 i mentioned my proficiency according to my previous score. As this added to my points.i attached a copy of previous test score as a proof of proficiency in eng. I hope i ve done anything wrong in mentiong my proficiency. is it alright? i hope there r no problems in the application processing cos of that.

Whys is it that some people get a aor in 55 days and for some others even the DD gets encashed after more than 60 days and they are still waiting for the aor?
DO they have seperate officers for each NOC/country , or is it a coomon line for all ?
