R.roy, I am a little confused. You mentioned that you have to get a letter from your sponsor. Does that mean your employer is sponsoring your PR? If yes, then the employer should take every step to get you PCC as that is a vital step. If not, then you are the sponsor (as you are sponsoring yourself), so you would not need a letter. Am I interpreting correct? What am I missing?

Pasi or other senior members, can you please provide some more insight into r.roy's case? I am a little stumped. I would say get a letter from someone in your company who knows you but may not be your supervisor. As long as it is on company letterhead, I don't think it should matter. Or does the police come checking whether that person actually supervises you or not

garian4u- the way i understand it, is that his sponsor from oman that needs to give letter to be able to get pcc.

r.roy, maybe you're such a good asset to your company, they dont wanna let you go Wink do you have contract with them? maybe that's why they kinda hard on you.

Hello Guys!

I am applying to the FSW program from the US, I have 4+ years of exp. in NOC 0711 and 2+ years in NOC 0111, I just sent the full application to Buffalo last week and it was received per Fedex info, on Nov. 19

Here is my current status on e-cas

We received your application for permanent residence on June 8, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on July 27, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I have been trying to start this process since more than 4 years ago, so I have a little bit of experience dealing with many issues prior to the stage I am now. I have read all this blog and I've got to tell you that is very sad the situation where all of us are at this time. I hope that now that they are about to start processing cases under the new regulations, they speed this all thing up, and 2010 will be a good year for us, may be not me but for you guys, landing in Canada.

I'll keep in touch

hey guys, thanks for breaking your heads over my problem. at least gives me some company. its a lone struggle out here otherwise! no its got nothing to do with offending the boss... it has to do with the policies. its a company policy not to give a noc to anyone asking for pcc. a few guys before me somehow managed to get it, but now there has been strict instructions issued by the company to police that anyone approaching them from our company without a letter should not be entertained. you see, its just that i have been a bit unlucky. these people view immigration as a reason to leave, though it may be years away, but they dont understand.
ironically if i leave my job, i can easily get the clearance, but i dont want to quit(got a family, plus other problems). actually one of my friends told me that the only way out is to write to CHC about my problem and ask them to directly get the clearance from here. so i was asking you guys if anyone knows the method/declaration or whatever i should send the CHC. please friends-if you have heard of anyone sending the full application without a pcc but written explanation tell me how to go about it.

garian4u - In one other topic, I read that if we arenot able to get the PCC in 120 days, we can go ahead and submit our docs with an explanation letter and they would still consider it for processing. But we would need to submit the PCC at a later stage. I think I will go ahead with the doc submission once I get the IELTS results instead of waiting to go to India and get the PCC from there.

I second to that. r.roy, send your documents anytime you're ready with explanation letter re your pcc, i'm sure immigration will understand and will help you get through with it. all the best!

Pasi, I would say that anything that you plan to provide at a later stage creates an extra delay (while waiting for the document request). In fact, many a times, a document not provided or a modification request can put you at the end of the queue and your case can be picked again quite late. So, I would refrain from doing so, if it can be avoided. In r.roy's case, the problem is very genuine, so it makes mores sense to provide a detailed explanation at this stage. However, if the cases are clear, I would rather go with all documents to be submitted at the first go. Regarding the IELTS, you will get the results only on the 15th calendar day at the earliest. There is no harm in enquiring from the DC Indian embassy about the procedure of getting an India PCC. You can genuinely tell them about the problem (they will entertain that you don't want to send passport at this stage). If they agree for the notarized copy at this stage, then they will call you once they have obtained your PCC (which should be 5 days). After that you may take a call on what you want to do - go in person and get it stamped or send the passport. Even if you send the passport, it will take 1 day to reach them, they will stamp and send you next day, so at the most you will be without the passport for 3 days. Not a bad deal at all. And it's half the cost of what I paid. For SFO, the processing fees were $40 per person. I think you have a very good chance of submitting the full docket to Buffalo before you leave for India. What do you say? Buffalo is currently at a time lag of 12-14 months, so why add to your timeline?

garian4u - Thanks again for your inputs. I thought of inquiring with the DC embassy today, but couldnt find time. They have a specific timeslot in which I need to call them. I will try to do it tomorrow. If they are ok for the notarized copies, I can send them right away. And as you said, I will be ready with the docs to be submitted once I get my IELTS results. I am ready to drive to Washington also, to get the passport stamped if they would give me a call.

I shall try it tomorrow and update you.
