Received at NS on the 17th September 2009.

hi
I want to apply for my sister, so I called sydney and they said up to 3 months you will recive your first notice, but I have expriance with my other sister ( which she applied earlier) she got her first notice just after 1 month. most of times they sent an email to applicant also.

I applied on August 13th 2009. Received by CUI August 19th. Today is September 21st and I still got no notice. Additionally, just called to the bank and found out that cashier cheque has not been withdrawn yet O_O
I think it's time to contact them. Can somebody tell me their prone or e-mail, please? What's the best way to contact them?

from which country you applied? did you paid by credit card or bank draft from your home country?
they do not have any phone # from people outside of canada
their phone # is for just canada and they do not provide any email address. thats why everybody frstrated and it is very hard to contact with them.

I applied from the United States. My home country is Russia. I payed using cashier cheque (almost the same as money order).
Strong, can you point me to the phone for canadians? What happens when people outside of Canada call them? They just don't pick the phone?

I think when you are in USA should be ok, try this # 1 888 242‑2100 (in Canada only)
you have to have time, I am living in canada and when i calling them I have to wait almost half an hour Min. .
just try it 2-3 times in row do not give up till you can talk to some one.
