Hello Everyone,
i just need information my wife done with sending appeal letter but we are waiting to hear from them what date will they give us for ADR for appeal can anyone give me idea how long it will get to get date from them and what is the process?

I appealed on Dec 10, 2008. Got ADR date for March 06, 2009.

thats wonderful curina but what was method of appeal my wife just send one appeal letter to them and we waiting to hear from them will they send any letter to us? and how long it takes to get letter from them?

HI,
Your wife will certainly hear from them within a few weeks. The letter should state if the file was chosen for ADR or full hearing. They will explain everything to her.

Not every case goes that quickly, we appealed in Aug 08 and still do not have an ADR date or a full hearing date. Still waiting to hear something.
Curina your case is unusually fast, perhaps because of your pregnancy.

BettyPage how do you get confirmation that your appeal atleast reach there if you are waiting from august there should be any confirmation?

About a month after I filed the notice of appeal, I received a letter stating that the request for appeal has been received.

thats much better to get acknowledgment, if you don't mind can you tell me was your reason of refusal same as mine? not genuine marriage? section 4 ?

No, not for the same reason, the immigration officer approved the marriage as genuine.

I am in the Toronto area, we were refused May 23
sent in appeal application May 26
Jun 24 received letter that they had received the appeal application
Aug 26 received a copy of our full file back
Nov 19 received letter ADR was set
awaiting ADR March 19
our was relationship not genuine
Curina is applying from Montreal that could be why it was quick...Toronto has a much higher wait list

Sorry, I had a lawyer but he proved to me an idiot, I will be representing myself alone at the ADR
we got our file in August and our ADR date in November
about a three weeks ago he sent me an email saying he didn't think we would be successful at the ADR and should go to a full hearing i was furious to say the least
at the time of the appeal i asked him to schedule a full hearing in case we lost the adr he said no that won't be necessary
anyway sorry dont know an immigration lawyer in the toronto area
