The backlog is with Canada.

I think you dont want to accept the truth, wat we are trying to make you understand is that there are overall 144000 applications (pre june) are pending yet to be get processed. but the applications which are reached at their processing stage will get visa in some time and applications with RBVO stage will take more time to get processed around two years or more, two years are not standard timeline but less or more is possible considering receiving date and other complications.

What made you say that "i dont think there is any pre 26 june applicant who's file is not yet transferred to designated visa office or in other words there is no applicant who didn't get his/her first file number yet", when the immigration letter itself says that Canada received over 425,000 applications under MI-1 during this period, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.  The only decision Canada takes on applications received by them at NS is to advice whether they are eligible for process. File number will be allotted if they are eligible to process. For 144000 cases, they couldn't even open up the files and advice.

144000 is pending, and same is appearing in the letter issued to applicants of Buffalo, Manila etc.
So do you think buffalo, Manila etc. is having 144000 applications pending at their local office. (exactly 144000 cases)

It is straight and simple, that the files are pending at Citizenship and Immigration Canada Office.

Open your eyes. Read the letter carefully.

its very surprising that why its so hard to you to understand a simple thing which many of us  trying  to tell u.  let me tell u in simple words 144000 is the grand total of application which has been transferred by CIO NS to designated visa offices but yet not finalized (visa granted or not by VO) means cases like us. i also tell u what my lawyers said that y this happened, prior to 26 june 2010 at CIO NS clerks just checked forms n calculated points as there was nothing provided to them except forms, so many of applicants who cant produce solid documentry evidence about what they have written in forms also got cleared from CIO and got their file no and their file transferred to VO. they will fail at visa officer scrutiny when get processed ,,,,but but till now they contribute to huge load on VO in other words they have created backlog, thats y for post 26 june CIC started accepting some documents and started doing scrutiny at CIO NS level.................................i hope this will make u understand ....and if not then as tarak.. said ........JUST MENTION A SINGLE PRE JUNE APPLICANT ON THIS BLOG WHO HAS NOT RECEVIED HIS/HER FIRST FILE NO YET(in one year june 2010 to present june 2011)

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT the visa office via email or fax for status updates. You can check your application status online. But should there be an aspect of your application that is not routine and you are concerned that is what is delaying processing, then by all means contact the visa office. You need to understand that high volume of requests requires many hours of work on the part of the visa office to respond, and this is time that you would prefer they spend processing your applications than responding to your status update requests.

hello guys landed in toranto on 9th of june

caught jet airways from amritsar to toranto via new delhi. service is real cool , in flight meal was good as well . leg space was comforting.

however i must say experience at Brussels airport wasn't pleasing , they opened only one gate for security checks for three flights and you can imagine the ques and it was horror time with kid

landed at Pearson international on time , took five min to complete the whole process with immigration officers, only asked for how much money i brought in nothing else. NEITHER I PREFILLED ANY FORM FOR PR  NOR DID I PREFILLED ANY B4 FORMS . AND NOBODY ASKED SO I DIDN'T CARE.( pr forms they WILL fill it for you on the immigration counter if you have address to give)

little bit funny incident happened at immigration back office , as me and my wife were busy collecting the information booklets on canada and ontario (should go and collect those even if you have the knowledge and skills) my daughter went into supervisor's office, and since nobody was there she climbed to the chair and started using his computer she is only one and half but she knows how to operate , like keyboard and mouse can do basic functions . so she switched it off, as we along with couple of officers went around looking for her . and we only realized that she was sitting in office when somebody went into the office to inquire about the  server shut down, which she did. nobody made fuss about in fact supervisor  appolizied to us that he left his door opened like that .welcome relief from India.

my friend was at the airport to receive us , so that went in nicely.

on 10th , i went to get registered  for sin number, opened bank account with td canada , cleared my written exam for driving licence and will give road test next week . and then will buy my car . it is better if you have your own car it saves lot of time in  travelling and open up whole new opportunities for you. Not going for work or employment agencies right now , my wife and kid are going back in couple of weeks so just gonna enjoy till they are here , keeping aside all the worries of work and settlement. actually considering volunteer work when i will be free after couple of weeks . should be good for resume and references.

ok there is one more thing , if you can buy your phone from here will be good instead of bringing from India, specially don't buy new one and bring it over here , it will open more billing or prepaid plans for you . i had a blackberry which i used in India , brought the same here but it didn't work. and i have nobody's contact details. so i am sorry if i haven't called anyone here in Canada or back home in India . for simple reason that i don't have anybody's number right now. so do me a favor and PM me your number i will get back to you as soon as i can.

i will be busy twomarrow and day after twomarrow going to see Niagara falls and going to a freind's place. will stay there for couple of days. so i will get back as soon as i can.
