file got transferred to Los Angeles on October 26 "to expedite processing" as the email says.

i hear a transfer to NY consulate is not so good a news and transfer to Detroit is a reason to be happy since they are fast.

how about Los Angeles, any feedback?

thanks to those who will reply.  Smiley

Sorry I have no answer for your question, but think maybe you can answer mine.

have you sent to Buffalo because you are already in Canada?
I am trying to figure out my visa office following MPNP.
My citizenship is UK, so should I send to London?

seeing your question about the speed of the process made me think it maybe the better option.

yes, the principal applicant is already in Canada. but i don't if you can choose which visa office to send your application to. when we got our nomination, the letter instructed that we should file our application in Buffalo.

Transfers to other US consulates are usually meant to help speed up the process as Buffalo cannot handle the volume. It is not an indication of the status of your application.

oh, of course.
from what i have read in CIC'w website satellite offices only process mostly work permits and visitor visas, would this be an indication that security checks are already done by Buffalo before files are transferred to the satellite offices?
what would be your opinion on that, if i may ask?

i emailed LA yesterday, and they said my file is queue for review by the immigration officer, is that means Buffalo didnt check our file and just transfered to LA to be reviewed? Hope not another 3 months to wait...

i was hoping they transferred our files to LA only to complete the PR visa issuance and all these "reviews" were already finished at Buffalo.

i thought satellite offices like LA, NY, Detroit only handle visitors visas and work permits..so now they also review PR applications? they're supposed to expedite processing of our cases, not make us wait another 3 months...

my patience is running out, feels like our lives are on PAUSE. i want to move on already  Sad

sorry i'm ranting  Embarrassed it's just too frustrating to wait and even harder not getting any details from the VO

all they said in the email is "to expedite processing of your application"

processing at Buffalo slowed down considerably in the past few months (based on what I have been reading in this forum), I guess they do this when their handling a lot and is already experiencing backlogs
