Dear All,

I lived in USA for 1.5 years, and applied for FSW from Bufflalo (Oct 08) while in USA.

my file got transfer to New York (Aug 09) and now i am expecting Medical and PCC

but i am in India now and no more US visa

so if someone had same situation or have knowledge or experience, could guide as how to deal with Medical and PCC

does medical request from CIC NY, has particular place mention on the letter that, where medical has to be done, or can medical be done from anywhere ?(authorise),,, is it okay, if medical can be done from india and then send to NY, CIC, does NY accept like this

and how about PCC,  will PCC from India can be sent to NY, is that okay too.

your inputs will highly be appreciated and will help lot of people

Thanking you

Havent you submitted the full documents to Buffalo yet? (since ask about PCC)..

Once sugestion i have is , to move the application to New Delhi (withdraw and re-apply).. (They are faster than buffalo)..
Other option would be to change address ,,

Did you say that you dont have any valid Visa now to travel to US?

I dont see any other issue , Medicals and PCC can be done in India and sent to US so you can continue your porcessing to be at New York, however there are two hindrances /Extra expenses.

1) IF they call for interivew - you need to have US visa and also spend nearly 2000$ for your trip to USA so pray that your interview gets waived.

2) It will take sometime after interview to get your PR , this means that again for stamping you need to travel to US/ arrange a friend /relative to travel on ur behalf to get it stamped - this cannot be avoided as sending passports out of India is illegal.

now if you have valid US Visa then the only issue will be that you might have to shell out extra money , 2000 or 4000 $ depending on whther u were called for interview or not.

IF you dont have US visa and cannot arrange a relative/friend to travel to US for your PR stamping then better to transfer to New delhi - this however means another 3-5 months delay of transfering the case.

Thanks,

ADA,
But even if he withdraw and re-apply, doesn't he have to wait to get a response from Buffalo that his request for withdrawal was processed in order for him to re-apply?

Cheers.

If u decide to do medicals from India do check from DMP if he/she can send the results to Newyork as in normal practice they send results to local CHC.
