Hi
Hi,
I would appreciate any comments/ feedbacks on the following queries:
1) Let's say the file gets transferred from Buffalo to any other consulate like Detroit,NY etc. do we not contact Buffalo anymore for anything?
No, you contact the office that has the file
2)If the file gets transferred to a local office does the doctor send medical reports to the local office or any other?
No, the DMP sends the medical report to the Regional Medical Office, which in the case of US applications is Ottawa
3) Is there a passport validity requirement at the time of getting the visa stamped(for e.g. If my passport is expiring in nov and I get a passport request in Nov beginning can I go and get it stamped on the passport or is it like the passport should have atleast a validity of 6 months/ 1 year before getting the PR visa stamped)?
The PR visa (COPR) will be valid for 1 year after the date of the medical or the expiry of the passport, whichever comes first. So if you were asked to submit your passport in October and it was only valid to November 15, the COPR would only be valid for entry to 15 Nov.
Thanks & Regards,
