Dear friend,I live and work in Canada since 2006.I applied for CEC on januaray 2009 but they refused me beacose my IELTS score was only 5 and for my NOC it should be 7.I waste the money and time and applied again for FSW in february 2010.My advise for you is that, you must take your IELTS to know your score and than to apply. If is everything ok you will get your visa for maximum 10 month. This is fastest way!Dont make the same mistake like me bro!

You have excellent score. But ask somebody who knows better.I dont know what is your NOC and what score they ask.It is not the same for doctors and plumbers......you know what am i talking about.

I am relgious worker and theay ask 7 IELTS points which was not enough for my ocupation.

Ask someone and if everything is ok you can apply for CEC and you will get visa for maximum 10 months.

Hi MathCanada,
PAPER FILE SENT TO DJH  FILE BF'D TO: HSD ON XX-XX-XXXX".

DJH is the visa office and the HSD is the visa officer initial and BFD is bring forward date.

I got the same thing in my CAIPS notes. No points calculated, no medical request, just only paper screening decision made.
Do not lose hope, something might happen by jan or feb.

jstar..

Any update Mathcanada, what was ur BFD date, Has it come

My points are not calculated. Only points for age are updated.

I am the in the unlucky lot so don't compare with me. Most of the people get medical request after couple of weeks of turning into In-Process. For me it has been 8 months.

Thanks,
MathCanada

MathCanada, you are not alone.
my "in process" was also almost 6 months back...
moreover, in my january caips my BFD is set back to 4 months back, to  October2010, while everyone else has some future( "forward" ) date.
i would understand, if it were some recent past date(delay due to printing  and mailing of caips),but i don't know what to think here Roll Eyes ..
overall, in march i will "celebrate" Sad 1 year of buffalo aor...

About a month ago I sent an email also checking that it has been 17 months since I started the process (initial app to NS). I haven't received any reply as of now.

I think 17 months time line (for getting to all applications) will start when I filed to Buffalo and not NS (or may be New York, who knows). Based on applying to Buffalo, its been "just" 12 months.

Any way's I am working on back up options. The only thing saddens me is all that effort (IELTS, PCC from multiple places, reference letters, indefinite follow up etc.) going down the drain Sad

I know you (dream23), jstar and few others are in same position but this still makes you feel very bad.

Thanks,
MathCanada
