Hi,

Congratulations to you as well.....even I got a PPR from New York Visa office.....I am currently in India....do you guys think I have to send the passport to NYVO or can I get it stamped in India only?

Congratulations...! One thing for sure that you can not get VISA stamped at NDVO. You will have to send the passport to NYVO. But, sending PP out of India via courier services are illegal. You will have to send it through somebody trusted or go personally.

This info I have gathered from Forum itself. I also confirmed with DHL that PP can not be sent out of India.

Would you mind sharing your timeline? Have you moved back to India?

I am Sunny too and also back in India/Delhi and will be in the same boat soon. I have checked with the post office and courier companies and can confirm that sending PP out of India via courier services are illegal. I intend to travel to NY myself to get my visa on receipt of PPR. Please let us know what ever you decide.

I did my medical on 7 January 2012 and its not refleting in e-cas as of today (one month). Do we know how much time does it take?

I just checked again my e-cas status..it is the same as before. I saw one post in a thread where a guy's e-cas status changed to processing today. So, I believe e-cas system is already current for this week.

Feel like I am living Tuesday to Tuesday :-) ....

Let me know if you have any updates...and, btw, that 9PM thing I mentioned to you (in other thread) was a random time :-)

I did my Medicals on January 12 and it reached Ottawa on 20th January. They've reviewed my Medical and I am asked for additional tests already. However, it's not updated on ECAS yet - still old status. So relax guys, your medicals must be under review

Hi Guys,
CiC Ottawa received our medicals on Jan 26th and they sent a letter back for additional test dated Jan 30th but I just got it by mail today, Feb 7th. Fortunately, my DMP already asked me to do that test as he suspected that CIC Ottawa will ask for that based on my result so when we received the letter today, I went to my DMP and he said they will send it back to Ottawa tomorrow. In their letter, Ottawa acknowledged receipt of the meds.

By the way, we are moving to another house, can I send update on our new address to new york via email? Is there anyone in the forum who did the change address update by email? Do you have the email? was it acknowledged?

I got my med request!
NYVO sent it on feb 2.. and feb 3 ( before i got the request)  is when i randomly sent them an email asking them to check ottawa for my medical results from an advance medical exam i did last year.

I guess, i should still go get my medicals done again with the new request form just in case they dont find my advance meds , right ?

No not yet! I don't know what keeps them so long!! My cic status has been changed to decision made which means they've already issued the visa (hopefully), but nothing. For me it's over two weeks now!
