Relating to an application on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds, our file has been sent from Alberta to Vancouver for further assessment.

Our case is very detailed and supported by good documentation.  I am wondering if this is to enter a second phase of the application process or if there is some potential problem.  During our last interview in our local CIC we were told we would hear in January or February and could expect to get a letter of 'provisional acceptance' that would outline the process for application for work permit.

The letter we received from the local CIC only stated that the file was fowarded, to keep passport current and to notify if any baby is born or marriage takes place.

Patiently hoping for some encouraging words....

Vancouver is n ot the centralized processing center for H&C cases, from what I heard...   They are sending all the H&C cases to Vancouver  since a few months now...

It supposed to be faster n ow...let's wait and see.

I just did my medical for H&C case as well, in Toronto...and they asked me to pay the landing fees.
