Very true Eduardo

If AOR takes this much time, one will have to wait too long for the case to be finalized.

But I think we get filenumbers in one week to three months, not more than that. Even in Pakistan I got file number in a month.

Hi All,

Since there was lot of discussion on receipt of file numbers.  I thought sharing this would be useful folks.  I wish you all the best for receipt of file number.

Here is what I wanted to share.

I had applied from Hyderabad, India (4131).  My application was received in the intake office on 22nd July.  Yesterday, 16th Sep, I've received the file number (via email).  As most of you have known checking the status of the DD (whether this has been encashed) would also be a good idea too.  My DD was encashed on Sep 3.  It should not take too long to receive the file number if the DD has been encashed.
