File Number Not Received
«

Hi, this is Badri from India.
I applied for Canadian PR from Jamnagar, Gujarat, India under "Skilled Worker" category in Jan. 2004. I have not received the File number so far.
Without the file number, I am neither in a position to either check my application status nor send the address change request.
I have written a few mails to the Canadian High Commission but have not got any favorable reply so far. I checked with my bank that issued the DD and found out that the same has been encashed by Canadian High Commission in Feb-Mar 2004 itself.
How can I get the file number for my application ?
Can anyone help me out. This is a VERY URGENT AN CRITICAL information for me.
Thanks

Was the bank draft cashed in February or March 2004? You can't tell the consultate that it was cashed "Feb-Mar 2004." You need a record with the
specific date
.
When you have that, fax it to them and explain that you haven't received an AOR yet.

First it is very strange that you did not bother for almost four years. File # is the only source of contact with the High Commission. Now you can get help from the bank people by having the reference of exact date for transfer of your application fee which may help to find your application.
The other thing if you have the courier receipt which may be a reference of correspondence with the high commission. Do not you will have to show patience and need cooperation of bank and courier service definitely high commision will respond you in this regard.
