Hi everyone!!! We also stuck with the same problem like many others:-( We began our process in December 2009, sent application directly to Sidney NS, then thinks started moving, my husband got reply within 3 months and we started preparing our papers. In 2010 we were working in Maldives so our file was transferred to Colombo. We even got some info from Colombo too, I was very happy that thinks were going smooth, BUT!!!! We had left Maldives and moved to India in the end of 2010. We had requested CHC in Colombo to keep out file there, same was done! After sending our compleated file to Colombo CHC we simply were waiting for reply, But time was passing and was no reply from Colombo at all. So my husband sent email, where we had requested confirmation of receiving our file (as per FEDEX it was delivered and received by CHC one month ago) as it was some original documents in there. So they replied and informed us that they received our file and the letter was sent by mail to our mailing address which was mentioned in our application form. We never received this letter and requested to sent us copy of the the same letter by email, we never got reply. Moreover, our mail address changed recently, so a few days ago we sent email to CHC requesting to change our address, so guess what we got as reply???!!! our file could not be found!!!!! It was a big shock for both of us!!! However we still can track our Immigration File number in the website ;-))) where it says "In Process" since November 2010 with our old mail address. So now I really do not know what to do? Of cause we sent one more mail with more details, with attached copy of our confirmation letter from Sydney. Let see what will happened next!!! Fingers crossed for the good news.... Is any one had same problem before???

Relax, everything will be alright... as long as u have the File No. [& u can log-on to the e-Cas] - u have nothing to worry. Try changing your address 'online'... click the button right under the e-Cas - there's a form for that purpose there. Qorax

OHHHHHHH!!!!! Still no reply ;-(((( What to do? What to think? ? Looks more like a lazy reply by Colombo Visa Office. VO is responsible for your file, they have to trace it irrespective of anything. Since your e-cas is showing In Process, that means VO has reviewed your file, so they do have it. Don't worry, keep the communication going with the VO, it will be OK, just a matter of time.

I'm not a senior, I'm just trying to think what I would do if I were you. Maybe I would order CAIPS in order to know with details what is going on with my app? And then e-mail the caips to the VO if they insist that my file was missing?

Qorax, I hear a lot of people talking about changing their address via ECAS, and seen a screetshot where there is a link under the address to click on to change it. However, on our ECAS we have no such link and there seems to be no way to change the address. Is this something to do with CAIPS/GCMS? We don't need to change our address at the moment but we may do in a few months when we're sold our house. Wayne.

Hi i wonder if my situation also the same and totally confused . it's mainly why Nairobi VO ignore my application even for seek of confirmation. if they were send to me a message that my application package is arrived in their office, it was a big relief and i will not worry about. i sent three times in different times inquiry nothing response on their side except the auto reply promising as usual. i am terrifying and frustrating what i am going to do?!!! the remaining action will be to contact by phone. what do you think. please wish you the best

Wayne.
Change of address link clearly states that you can only change your address online if you reside in Canada or if your file is being processed in Canada. For all Files processed at Visa Offices outside Canada, we need to contact the Visa Office processing the file. The online address change form does show your current address but does not allow you to input any other country other then Canada. The link as you have mentioned is not related to either GCMS or CAIPS, e-cas interface is common for all users. Their is a separate link to change address on the e-cas.

I can't change address on line by myself ;-(( And we are planning to apply for CAIPS on Monday I hope it will help us, fingers crossed. And I also think that the person who is in-charge of email inquires in CHC's abroad is a local person ( not Canadian VO) and who really do not care about anything.

Wayne.
1. The address change link is available @ the e-Cas page... I'm not sure how it's not in yours. 2. Even with overseas processing offices/cases we could still 'change' the address there... I did it * - I was a CHC-London applicant. Qorax*I'm not sure if we still can - probably Yukon is right - the system might have changed.
