Fiance/Marriage in regards to application.

Does anyone know if it helps or hinders your application if you already have someone there you will reside with that is not family (if approved to come to Canada, of course)? My fiance lives in central Alberta (Rocky Mountain House)and I plan to live with her when approved to come to Canada.

Also, as a side note, would anyone know if it would help or hinder my application if I married my fiance before they interview/approve my coming to Canada?
