hello, I am a canadian about to marry a wonderful lady in california . once that happens she will make the outland application for PR, and I will make sponsor ship application. We want to pay the fees so we have a case number started. Could anyboby tell us the exact fes to pay, the immigration site can be a little un clear. we think we need to pay, the Right of permanent residence fee, The sponsor ship application and principle appicant fee and permanent resident card fee? does that seem correct? thanks for your help !

You need to pay $1040 in total. There is no fee for the PR card itself. The fees are
RPR fee $490
application fee $75
principal applicant fee $475

I think this is one area where the CIC website is actually quite clear. Just follow the steps in the fee calculator. https://services3.cic.gc.ca/efee/efee.do?lang=en

But you won't be getting a case number until after the application is in process.  Simply paying the fees only gets you a receipt number . . . the application, with your receipt for fees paid, has to go to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, ON first where they'll assess you as an eligible sponsor.  You'll receive a letter of notification on that decision after about 6 weeks and that letter will include your client ID#.  If you're approved, CPC-M will transfer the application, then, to Buffalo and they'll assign the "case number".  You'll receive that number when you receive their Acknowledgment of Receipt letter.
