Friends,
we had a baby recently and I wanted to include his name for PR. I wanted to understand if there is any fees to be paid for processing his application. I recieved an email from the consulate stating to include "Processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)". But on their website it says - "The following applicants are not required to pay this fee: (Url - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp)

•dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
•protected persons, including Convention refugees.

So I am a bit confused - can you please provide your inputs here.

Thanks
Shekhar

as far as i know, you need to pay CAD 150 application processing fee for a dependent child.
right of permanent residence fee of CAD 490 each is only for adults, for this you only need to pay for yourself and your spouse. dependent children are exempted.

check this link for info on fees (FSW category)
