Hi everyboby,

I am about to ask for a certified cheque/ Bank Draft from a Joint Account, the name of the payer will be both people that opened the bank account.

In the Fee Payment form, do I have to write both namse as "the name of the payer" or just one of them?. One of the names is the main applicant and the other the secondary one.

If someone has had a similar experience, please share their views.

Thanks! Wink

As usual they dont know, it was even difficult for them to understand what I want.

Banks in this country (so-called first world) are useless.

Thanks anyway.

I think that the Demand Draft / Bank Draft has the name of the "Beneficiary" and the "Name of the Bank in Canada", and the issuing Bank's Name and details.

The Demand Draft is already Paid for, so writing the name of the person in the Fee form might not be that important as it is for Credit Card. IF you are also the account holder (one of), I guess it would be ok to write your name. I dont think that there is name of the Payee on the DD. At least wasnt there for me.

The DD is like a cheque issued by Bank (not you), that holds value, as it has already been paid for, or something like that. The Bank thingies are always confusing to me Smiley
