I had applied under Federal skilled worker category and it was refused, stating the following reason:

After taking into consideration the work experience supporting documentation on file, I am not satisfied that you have performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the position as described in NOC.  As such, I am not satisfied that you are a 4152 – SOCIAL WORKER.

Can i apply again by modifying the letter of employment? if yes, do i have to wait any period of time?

Yes u can apply again with a modified employment letter..........(as long as the cap for 4152 remains open)

U dont have to wait for any period to apply again..........

If cap closes for 4152 then u have to wait and apply again in july 2012 ------(if 4152 is still on the eligible noc list)

Yes, you can apply again (and immediately too) with a more explicit employment reference. This was exactly my case and I've now landed in Canada. Go to this page "http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=4&val1=4152&val65=*" and use it as a guide for your reference letter.

All the best.

Lets say that I want to reapply in July 2012.

My previous set of documents is kept in CIC office in Sydney since they had refused me in September 2011. How should I address them mentioning the reasons for not sending new birth certificate, IELTS, education documents, etc...Huh Or should I take all those documents from domestic institutions etc.. once more and send them again?

I know about PCC and bank certificate, but what about the rest? Why sending new if they have it already in the archive?

All new documents, except for the IELTs as long as it was not older than 2 years, you can send a copy.

Hi zakar,
Can you post some text from your Reference letter of work (Social Worker)?
You didn't get a detailed Reference letter?
Was it too basic/briefly written ?

thanks,

Hi friend,

Sorry, at first, for the refusal. Don't worry, social workers category has a very good demand in Canada. Hope they won't exclude in their forthcoming list. BTW, as you have experience to apply, do it again ASAP. May God help you.

Anyway, can you please share when did you apply?

Do i have to mention that i had previously applied and been refused? as i follow the post i realize that i have to send new documents except for the IELTS. So do I have to mention something so that they track my file and my IELTS?

As per logic you are applying again as fresh applicant. Your previous one is being cancelled. It is not that you will be sending them additional information in that case you may need to mention that. So I do not think you have to mention that. You can send personal mail to the people who has faced a similar situation like yours in the forum.
