hello friends, I wanted to ask you- I am currently working in Montreal on a permanent contract. I submitted my CSQ with a validated employment. If I quit my job during the federal part of my QSW application, will that affect my PR application? I'm just worried because I got points for my CSQ through my validated employment. I believe that my CSQ will indicate "traitement prioritaire - Emploi valide (priority treatment - validated employment)"
Thanks for the advice...

As far as i know, the federal has nothing today with the CSQ requirements such as job offer etc... this is the duty of the Quebec gov and the authority of the fed for Quebec imm. is limited to the health and security. The prove is when we submit our fed application we are not asked to submit our job offer. Don't take it as 100% true, this my understanding to the process

Keep in mind that you don't have to update to federal that you are quitting your job keep it just with you, federal has nothing to do with CSQ...

Hi cvd
i agree with Hani, you may quit your job at any time as long as you have met the qualification requirements. Federal app requirements are generally targetting medical and security. However, be assure that Visa officer might ask for proof of funds at any stage of Federal app. Having a job will then represents your proof. Not having one will force you to show bank statements... Moreover, if your work permit limits you to work for a specific employer. You'll need another wp before working elsewhere.
Cheers.

What you can do is the following, fly to morroco, get her passport, fly back to USA or canada, send the passposrts by mail to buffalo, when you get the passports back, fly back to morroco give her the passport with the stamp on it. That's my plan, i am in the same situation, am gonna do the same thing.

just an update, I sent two emails to buffalo in the past two weeks asking them for reasons why my application exceeds normal processing times (it has been 13.5 months now). They replied today:
Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
I don't know what this "in process" means because e-cas is still showing "Medical results have been received" from months ago. I'll keep you guys posted if anything happens. Happy new year to all !

Based on my understanding through reading on same situation in other forums, this delay might be due to delay in background and security checks. I thing if you request CAPS, this might help you to figure-out where the problem is

Why this subject is under the topic for “Provincial Nomination Program Immigration”? If this is for QSW, then it should be in Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration category! I think this is wrong and may affect the number of people joining it ...
It is for QSW withing Canada
