you need to complete a French assessment if it's not your first language. Having English is only a bonus but learning and knowing French is essential. The micc website will give you all pertaining info if you take the time to go through the required documents.

Hi all,
Q1- Does anybody know how long it takes usually for the e-CAS to be updated as "Medical received" after having the medical exams? The results have been sent to the Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa (CPP-O). I can not track it since they medical center can not give me the tracking number.
Q2- Is there any telephone number available for us to contact the CPP-O just to check receiving of the medical reports? I appreciate if someone can share it.

Here is my timeline:

Generally on IELTS over the band of 6.5 should work for immigration. If Quebec is following Federal then you need 7.0 in every section and overall score as 7 as well.

Starting 6th Dec, quebec is asking for TEF and IELTS score to identify the proficiency of your language skills.

Hope this helps!!

Dear All Seniors

I have done self assessment it is more than required, should I still add french test cert or not? French will give only extra points not necessary, right???

Or they are giving any kind importance to french learner then would a French student cert will enough??

Actually i dont want to delay my application but I shall learn french b4 interview.

Thanks

When I applied(May 2010) french was not necessary as long as you have enough points in other areas.
