Hi,
Does any one if I need to call the doctor for appointment to get the medical examination? Also, how long it does take to get the PPR after sending the medical reports?
Thank you,
Speednab

I am new to the forum and recently starting into this more. Need advise from all of you on my file which I filed from Buffalo as Quebec Skilled worker. my current status : Sent/Rec'd 20/10/2010 - AOR rec'd 31/03/2011 - Med done 11/04/2011 - No Transfer letter and RPRF asked soo far. e-cas status: "medicals have been received"
I also filed another Federal application back in Sep 2006 with file number BXXX from NewDelhi office; back in June 2011, i requested to withdraw that application from India and continue with Quebec skilled worker application from Buffalo only. I didn't receive any reply from them.
When I go to e-cas it says: QSW Buffalo application " as application received on 20/10/2010 and medicals have been received" Federal application " application in progress since Sep 2006"
Now, my question to all of you is... 1. Is it normal for me to wait more and not to contact Buffalo office to get the status of the application ? 2. I didn't pay RPRF fees before, should I pay it now...? 3. Should I follow up with New Delhi application to ask them to close that file ?
thanks, let me know your suggestions !!

Hi speednab,
Yes it is better to ask your DMP for the procedure about doing medical tests. Price, # of pics, docs req'd, time alloted to go to Ottawa... and any concern you may have. If they require an appointment you may also ask them how long it takes from you booking to the date itself. Most of them go by appointment. So, ask them.

For your information, CIC has updated the processing timeframe, it was 14 monthes, now it is 13 monthes... Good luck to all of those who are still waiting. Extra special good luck to the few 2010's remaining

Hi friends,
quick query... i'm thinking of sending my passports from India to U.S with a friend. He will mail CIC buffalo passports from his address with a return envelope. Hope CIC will not have any trouble returning passports to his address ?

maybe add a note that this is a temporary address to use forr returning passports. Glad you have an option. Ask your friend to check PPTs when it arrives at his address for accuracy on every info they put... before he sends it to you.

Sher_singh.. do you have two application going on parallely ...one from Quebec as skilled worker and other outside..? I have one application from India as federal. and other application from Quebec as skilled worker. I didn't receive any reply from them after I got my AOR in March 2011. My application was filed in 20 Oct 2010. Do you think there is a delay coz of two application going on ..? Thanks for suggestions!!!

Guys, i need help. i just got an email, my " accuse de reception just came in, and my medical applications forms for me and my family. one little problem!! i am in the US now and my wife and son just went back home for 5 months, and the instructions of the medicals says that we need to go to the same doctor and we have 60 days to do so. what can i do in this case> they can come back and do it here or i can go there and do the medicals there. Do you guys think that we can do the medicals in a different country other than the US eventhough we are applying from the US. is there any law out there that restrict us from doing the medicals outside the US would this be a problem? ? My second question is to those who went through the system already and know all the procedure. what happens after the medicals are done, do we wait for an interview or we wait to submit our passports for the visas, in case you mail ur passports, do they mail them back or you have to pick them up in person. since my wife is overseas, i have to think about these little details, because if they ask for the passports to be mailed, my wife can mail me her passport and therefore i can mail it from here with mine, but if they ask her to come pick it up in person, the can't travel hahaahah and we will be stuck. please guys any help is appreciated. Thanks

no dear, I only have applied one application and thats through Quebec. I think you should try to contact with New Delhi office regarding your application withdrawn request.. if they have really closed ur other file... and most probably many of the 2010 applicants have received their PPR's and few of them are still waiting, depending upon case to case... and I again think its normal or wait for 2-3 more weeks and if you dont hear anything then you can send buffalo an email to enquire about your case. who know during those waiting weeks it could be you who would receive his PPR ... You can pay RPRF while you sending the application or anytime during the process. Good Luck!

Thanks Man for the info, i just to know today that my file is getting transferred to NY office on Nov 3rd. I don't know how long it will take to get it processed from here onwards. One think for sure, I am running late with final processing. One question, should I send RPRF fees to NY so that they don't have ask for this fees once they look into the file...? thanks guys for your suggestion!!
