Here you are! I tried to find a company for two weeks.
My file was transferred to LA at the same day as yours. No further information from LA.
I sent an email to them last week. No reply yet.
You can check my timeline on page 112 (Thank sweet ae03yy ).

Good to know, I am not alone in this LA boat Let's keep our fingers crossed and pray to hear some good news soon from LA because the email they sent as the notification was not helping i.e. 'Do not request the status update of the file for next 90 days from the issuance of this email'. If it means the transfer of the file is going to take 90 days, then we are doomed

Hi everybody !

I got the same email as Stanka just yesterday (congratulations by the way )

I called the CIC call center and they told me it's a new pilot project about creating a process center in Ottawa (in the same building where medicals are processed for North America) for the applications coming from Canada. I will be generalized (I hope this word exists in English, if it doesn't well you see what I mean ) in 2012. All the people living in Canada (students, workers) will be able to apply there (Byebye Buffalo !!) and have an implied status till a decision is made. The AOR says it takes 10 months to be processed there, and If I don't get PPR within 4 months I have to contact them.

I think it's better and I'm lucky and happy.
I did my medicals yesterday in Luso (Mont-Royal)

Frankly speaking , I am very glad that Ottawa is finally waking up.  Buffalo has been so sleepy and imposed some dose of misery in  our lives.
I just hope the Ottawa will not be as disorganized as Buffalo , a few years from now.

The implementation of this pilot project will take place in two phases, as detailed below. The procedures will remain in place for at least two years. An assessment of the pilot will be conducted at the end of the first year.

Phase 1 – File Creation
Period: April 2011 to September 2011
Step    Action
1    CBSA forwards the paper file to CPP-O.
2    CPP-O creates the GCMS file, initiates mandatory checks (security checks only) and forwards the file to the visa office for processing. CPP-O will not communicate with the client or the sponsor during this phase to avoid confusion for the client.

During Phase 1, CPP-O will develop quality assurance tools for this pilot and create guidelines to help triage files into different risk categories, with the assistance of Operational Management and Coordination (OMC) Branch and International Region.

Phase 2 – Full Processing of Cases
Period: September 2011 – April 2012
Step    Action
1    CBSA forwards the paper file to CPP-O.
2    CPP-O creates the GCMS file and initiates mandatory checks (security checks only).
3.a    For files with relatively low admissibility risks, CPP-O will process cases to final decision. Permanent Resident Visas and Confirmations of Permanent Residence will be printed at the visa office. CPP-O will retain the file.
3.b    For files with complex admissibility risks, the files will be sent to the visa office for processing. CPP-O will not communicate with the client or the sponsor to avoid confusion for the client.

CPP-O will send a copy of the IAD decision to the relevant visa office for those cases which  CPP-O will process to final decision.

I did my medicals today.(2 of september) I decided to go Montreal and it was pretty good, yet one thing bothers me. People in the clinic were puzzled by my printed out medical form. The receptionist had to call someone and ask if they can take it, but it turned out to be ok. I'm still worrying I hope this won't create any problems with Ottawa.

yes, I moved back to India in last week of Jan'11 and I'm employed here ! Guess since, i have completed more than 6 months here that's the only reason i see here. Also the docs requested are only for the "primary applicant" i.e. only for me. Not for my spouse.
