I'm really worry guys about those lies too... If a gov't (Qc) is ready to lie just to attract ppl, it says long about his way of doing things too. This is really bull sh*t and i apologize for my language friend but it is not right to misrepresent the truth to applicants. We are stuck in a middle of processing that basically doubled its time in 1 yr and with no valid reason. I'm afraid it would get worse and so can't wait to see the new timeline from Buffalo. According to Quebec agreement with Canada, we are supposed to be priority, but are we really? And does Qc gov't feel concerned about it? No, and no. I bet Buffalo take our file with disgust now, and it might keep getting worse with this Conservative gov't... So, hang in there folks... we'll get through eventually. I hope fallsage will give us good news this week and meanwhile, I'll try chatting with my friend to see how to exit this non-sense, lying business. Like they say: 2morrow brings new things! Don't give up your hope no matter what, plz don't  |

The "priority" is not obvious. I don't want to complain. But we have been here for 5 years. Lots of my friends applied later than us already landed long long long time ago. (Some of them applied federal and others applied MB provincial.) Sign. Anyways. Fingers crossed. Hope I can bring some news tomorrow. |

Oh thanks very much ae03yy for your full explanation.
What I mean with question 2 is, according to the requirements, in order to be qualified to apply for Post Graduate Permit I have to have valid study permit, and as you know my study permit will finish by 31August. But now my understanding from ur explanation, as long as I submit the application before 31st, I will be still considered have a valid study permit, therefore at that point I am still qualified to apply for the PGWP, even if the next 2 days I won't have any thing valid any more....... and after 31t, the grey period is what they called status is implicit rite?
I am correct with this one?

Here are my dates: Application to Buffalo (sent CSQ and everything) : Apr 2010 Begin processing/medicals : Jun 2010 Transfer to Detroit and Background records : Sept 2010 Sent records and RPRF $$ as demanded : Nov 2010 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SINCE I sent a info request but got no answer. Are these delays normal  It's been 7 months, I'm now on a NAFTA work permit with a mediocre job. I saw some of you got everything really quick and others are still waiting. Anyways, I felt better just by reading your posts. Thanks. I'm from Mexico, btw. |
