Hello, fellas !

Congratulations to those who heard from Buffalo.
Those still inside the tunnel,  keep hope alive , your day will surely come

My visa  was approved .  I now need to go through the landing process.
I asked information from the CIC, and here is their answer .

"
Sir, Madam,

Thank you for contacting the Call Centre. I am pleased to provide you with the requested information:

Once you get your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292) from a Canadian visa office and, if necessary, your permanent resident visa in your passport, you must have these documents validated by an immigration officer at a port of entry. If you did not see an immigration officer when you arrived in Canada and are still in possession of all four copies of your IMM 5292 document, then you must:

·         Go to the American land border and explain to the officer that you do not want to enter the US, but that you want to return to Canada immediately to validate an immigration document (this is called the flag pole procedure).

·         Once at the Canadian border, you must show the officer your passport, as well as your Confirmation of Permanent Residence, and any other required document.

To find the land border closest to you, please visit the Canada Border Service Agency Web site.

"

I was wondering if this process does not require a US  visa.  Does anyone know  ?

You don't need a US visa. You'll not enter the land of America actually. You'll just go to American land border and some American officer at border will give you a piece of paper showing you indeed already leave Canadian land (and not enter into America). Then you went back to show that piece of paper to Canadian officer at border and other documents they require. That's it:))))

And that process won't affect your application of US visa in future.

Hey guys,

I have a question. I know that most of us in this thread are in the federal stage but I still want to see if anyone has answers to my questions.

How many days did it take to receive the AOR after sending the application? and approx. when did the interview happen after application filing? I'm just curious to know the timelines. Although many users have posted time lines in this forum, most of them are from other BIQ applicatants such as Paris or HK etc.

welcome on board. It depends if your file is a priority, if you paid with CC, if everything is in the envelop, and if you're in Quebec already. I had my File# from Montreal BIQ after 2weeks wait. I paid with CC. Also I did high school and college in Quebec before moving for university in Ontario and now am back in Quebec. So, assessing my case was somewhat a piece of cake.

But, yes all US and Canada sends CSQ appl to Montreal. Then those in USA get transferred to New York and some even have interview.

Hi fallsage,
Hope u'r standing still in this unfair pressure we're facing. Hope Clement is okay too and all those waiting. As for ecas my address is gone since Aug 30 I should get my WP soon and then I'll see how to get US visa again.

Be strong my friends and have faith in God not in men or systems.

ahhh I just checked now my eCas worked for me first time by using my whole name 'Sher Singh' which they have written under my Surname Lips sealed ...I think they will might have activated it automatically on Monday or Today after they sent me medicals.. for the time being  eCas is showing my file was received on XX date... and I did my medicals today in the morning, everything went good except the doctor was bit confused too by looking at my name on the medical form and on my passport... he told me this thing can create issue... Then I showed him all my TRV documents too including Study permit, work permit and multiple Visa; just to show him mistakes done by immigration Angry bcoz on each of documents sumwhr they have written my surname as 'singh, sher', sumwhr 'Sher Singh' , sumwhr as 'Sher' under given name and 'Singh' under surname...Doctor was surprised too after looking on them and so I think they took copies of my TRV documents too.... but at last by taking the name of god, we proceeded with the medicals and praying that my name dont create any problem and everything go smoothly...I think they will forward medicals in three weeks to Ottawa... also I took Canadian passport size photos with me, their size was bigger than the immigration photos and they demanded only 2 photos from me..

thanks  @  ae03yy  @  noelisa for ur suggestions Smiley .... and whether or not my file has been transferred from buffalo to Ottawa, I'll email them tomorrow to clear the confusion.
