Yes I did choose withdraw! But even if they denied and withdrew wouldn't they still say decision made? Edit: oops I misunderstood. My husbands login says the same thing it has since before decision made which is application received feb 21. well if u choose to withdraw and (it won't b ur case) someone gets the sponsor part denied, they will just close the file / return the package and there will b no other activity in ecas under the applicant part; at least that's how i was thinking; if in a few days u start to see activity using ur hubby's id (we received appl, medical results received, etc i think it means the file was transfered in Mexico which means u were approved) but do try to call tomorrow until u get a nice agent to tell u the decision get ready for a small celebration

Maybe the email is delayed? I have heard of that happening. Or maybe they really are sending you a letter, I'm not sure. Just wanted to let you know the whole 'we sent you a letter' seems the generic response, even if they sent you an email, just so you don't go crazy checking your postbox everyday!
On the email it says it was processed in Ottawa.
yes i second that; we got email but the ecas was saying we sent u a letter; they just use the same templates all over again

Don't worry. If you see our spreadsheet there are many in a similar situation. Your turn should be very soon. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alz5rxujMsIGdFR3WGszYzduZDZsXzh1cTFLNWx5aFE#gid=0

Hey there; just thought I'd check in. They seem to be going rather slow for us February folk, as far as I can tell. Our application was received on Feb 29 (cutting it close; sent on Feb. 14) and we've not heard a word from anybody, not even a peep. We can't sign in using the payment receipt either (whose name would I have to enter anyway, the applicant's, the sponsor's, or the payer's?). I know this is normal, but still freaks me out. I just hope that once it gets to Berlin, everything will be quick - hopefully, as that's what others have experienced.
We're both finishing our degrees this summer, and we'll be in a bit of a pickle if we have to sit around in Germany waiting for a response, since that would probably mean finding a new, undoubtedly more expensive apartment, as well as work. I just really, really hope we aren't refused. No reason we should be, but I'm paranoid about these things.

Well in my case, the missing document... the only thing that was missing on it was the word NONE for the children section. They wanted us to re-do it just because of one silly word, even though it was signed. My wife mailed the form ($50 for express, rip off Cebu mail post rofl). I should receive it hopefully latest tomorrow so that I can mail it ASAP so they can hopefully get it by friday and not monday because monday is really late. Heh...

They asked for a new form because you forgot the word "NONE"?? Nuts!!! This will probably happen to me too because I forgot to write my wife's name on the IMM0008 form at the bottom where it asks to consent to something related to releasing info to the provinces...something to do with employment. I checked the box 'yes' and the form was signed and dated...but if they sent the form back because of one missing word, I'm screwed.
They are WAY too rigid...they should simply call...verify you are who you say you are...and fill it in with your consent...sheeshh...

You should be fine FS. They are very picky about the additional family members document because of future sponsorship. But that is the only document commonly requested.

I am on hold with CIC. The wait time is 10 minutes. I feel very nervous, like a child about to perform at a recital.

Good Morning All,
I am a new comer to this forum! I have submitted my wife's sponsorship application on Feb 2012 and the case processing center in Mississauga received it on Feb 24 2012. I still have not yet received any acknowledgement letter or email. As many people said already in the forum the CIC's "Application Processing Time" page is almost useless as they simply just update the "updated" date and don't change the "Processing" date for the applications... Since it has been nearly 90 days now I am starting to worry what's going on with my application. Do people normally receive the acknowledgement (AOR is it?) through email or snail mail?
