I sent my PP, PCC and Medical in the 2nd week of February 2012 aswell to New Delhi Office still waiting for the status to be updated .and hopefully to get my passport back soon .

some news to share although it is not what I am expecting yet. Today my ecas status has been updated to 'application received' --- finally some move since I mailed out my application on feb 6th, (received by cic on Feb 7th). CIC has been really really slow this year!! Maybe it is my back luck! Anyway, the hope is right in front and shouldn't be too faraway waiting.....pray..... |

I am still waiting for approval but I checked e-cas with my UCI and there was a change.
When I checked it right after getting the AOR, it was just the old info from 2010. (We had to let the 2010 PR expire so this is Round 2) But now my husband's name is listed twice and it says "Application Received" under both sponsorship application status and permanent residence application status. When I click on both sections, it just says application received Feb 21.
So I am happy to see a change! But I want to see Decision Made! =) I am so nervous. We have a couple of unique complications so I will be greatly relieved when I see that I have been approved as a sponsor.

I am also seeing the new application when I login with my husband's old client ID. Just 'application received".
Nothing with the receipt number or application number though.

I think it might also have to do with the complexity of the different cases. I assume that if all the IMM forms and supporting documents are complete, you'll get approved much faster. If there are any questions as to the IMM forms or other documents, chances are there will be some slight delays...BUT...you'll get approved as long as you meet all the eligibility criterion.
Not too many get denied for sponsorship.
I wouldn't be too worried about it...you're definitely going to be approved in the next week or two (this week or next).
Waiting is hard...it sucks...but you'll be super happy very, very soon.

Actually, not too many mid-February applicants have been approved. Only a handful. The majority of approvals from February have been from the beginning, not the middle. Don't worry, you'll get approval this week or next...count on it. FS |

On the british expats forum there have been I think 3-4 from mid feb approved. We have about as simple case as you can get, british husband, married, no kids, clear medical, clear police checks, etc. I guess because we are leaving in a month to move to Canada, I'm panicking a bit because I want sponsorship approved by then so they'll let hubby in!

Hi... I am totally new here!
So they received our application Feb 8th at 1:18am. Kind of a strange time I think receiving packages at that time.
We sent our app in a box.
Does anyone know how they feel about boxes? And I heard people from 3rd week of Feb and 1st & 2nd week of Feb have received at least an AOR. I haven't heard squat from them and when I call them I usually get the "yeah just wait, is there anything else i can help u with" reply. They're not helpful at all, and now I'm thinking they may have lost my application. :\
Any thoughts?
