Did you get approved through Ottawa or Missisagua? Just wondering if a batch went to Ottawa and they are approving them faster than Miss. Arghh so fed up! Our days left in the UK is ticking down so quickly and it's probably going to be another 3 months til we get stage 2 done

hey everyone
just want to tell u not to worry too much if u sent the old forms...the old forms were good until March 31st 2012...as long as the application was received before that date they will not return it cuz of that....we filled in the forms around 1 year ago and when the new ones appeared we didn't have the mood and patience to re-do them and we knew that as long as we send until the end March we should b fine....we were right (of course me too i was a little worried after the end of March passed with no approval....but at the end, it was all ok )

as for the other points raised: yes they don't receive parents and grandparents applications but it does not mean that they stop working on old ones....if u look carefully at the processing times (down the spouse part) they r putting timelines abt those applications (sending aor for applications received 1 year ago, processing applications received 5 years ago); actually the reason they stop this category was not to make other categories faster but to eliminate the 4-5 years backlog....since they want to finish this category faster (they said 4 years) it might have a relation with longer processing times for other categories....

also, for me it looks that most of Jan applications were transfered to Ottawa...but i don't think it makes a difference....on the contrary, maybe if they stay in Missisauga they will actually take longer

Hello, I am just getting worried a little here, I filled up all the forms online, right about when I mailed my application Feb 6/7th,2012 the http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.PDF form got updated to a validated form.. I could not use that validated form as I have already obtained my spouse signature etc in the  package by mail and the same day I posted the package to CIC...

I see somebody from April,12 applicant whose package was returned yesterday by cic asking to refill and resend the whole package back just cause they did not use the newer version of the form.. (validated version) they upgraded the IMM1344E to a validated version just like the main form only on feb 7th,2012.. Any advise? I am not sure what they will do to my package now... Also, cuase this change happened in Feb, anybody who noticed this change? used the previous version and got it approved? or did all changed the version to the validated one right after CIC changed it? Usually forms are filled a little before the package is mailed to cic as it takes time and effort .... I would expect CIC to atleast consider that the package was mailed on or arround the same time the form format was changed! Also, they recommend using a computer.. Not sure if thats needed.. if u dont use a computer, u cant really validate the form anyways.. I m in two thoughts perhaps a little worried..

I sent all the old forms. I was worried that I would have to redo them all, but my lawyer told me not to worry as long as my application was revived before the end of March. My application was received Feb 1 and I got the approval.

Where did you see Feb 17 the only one that was approved close to there that I know of is Dr ENG X on FEB 16th.. and that was last week....where is he anyways?!?! I guess were not good enough now that he got approved
