TS are you the first Feb applicant to get a reply from Ottawa....I think the rest have been Mississauga and all of the March approvals have been from Ottawa.  Very interesting....but of course the most important this is you have your approval

I was Feb 8th and we got approved from Ottawa..there have been a few from Ottawa in the Feb group!

Im very new here.. and im so happy to know there are u guys who are on the same boat as i am, so i can ask something

My hubby sent application and M received on 10th Feb. on 27th of May, CIC sent a letter to my hubby saying that: we received your document and its on process. (i dont remember exactly) but it doesnt mention that if our application is approved or not.

however, i have read some posts who have received snail mail from cic, and might have same letter like us. these posts mentioned that their applications are approved. So, should i think that our application is appovered also ? My hubby is Canadian, from Quebec. Quebec will send us another documents, and we have to reply to Quebec, then my file will go to Singapore. is it so?

Any buddy from Quebec or know about the Quebec procedure help me please!

Also.. i dont know if im slow with technology but we have 2 numbers:
Rxxxxxxxxx ( its CIC receipt)
and client numbers

But when i try to check my online status, it keeps saying that these numbers are not identified. Do you have this problem?

Also, the grandfather of my hubby is having cancer at the last stage. The only wish he wants to do is to see me.. Should I go and ask for Tourist visa? Hes very kind person and i want to see him so much!

YES, i have called, they said that they will re-send their answer, and that they cannot tell me the content of the letter on the phone...

I just got off the phone with an agent and they FINALLY informed me that my application was approved on June 5th... They gave me a client ID number however it is not working? has this happened to anyone else.. the client ID number consists of 8 numbers!!

I am so relieved.. Cannot believe it.

I think your best bet would be to contact your MP and find out, how would they prefer.
It is a formality and I guess every MP has his or her own way of doing it.

I am a January applicant and I want to contact my member of parliament (MP) in Canada about my case. I am currently out of the country in India and intend to return to Canada with my husband when he gets PR. I know I have to sign and send a consent form (is it the one for use of a representative on CIC site?) to my MP. Is it ok to fill out the form, sign it and then scan it and send to my MP by email or do I have to send it directly to her by mail (the original copy)? Can I get my mother who lives in my house to drop it off on my behalf if I cant email it? If I scan and email does it have to be notarized? Also, does the consent form from sponsor go only to the MP or does the MP have to send it to CIC as well to be authorized to have information about my case? If anyone has any experience with this, PLEASE HELP!!!

Guys i still didn't receive any E-mail or a letter from CIC.. Now i highly doubt that the person on phone was saying the truth about my application being approved. cuz i when i put my client ID, it says application received shouldn't it says decision made if its approved? plus no E-mail no letter. I am getting so furious.. Any clue???

I'm approved and still says Application Received.
Call again.

Write down their names.
If the name match, hang up the phone.

If it is a different name, inquire about our case. If they all said you are approved, then I think there's a high chance you are approved.

Implement this solution systematically.

I've been spending quite a long deal of time reading that e-mail and I saw this last night.

Very awkard. I mailed it to Ottawa, the officer's name is *-CPPO which is Ottawa.

So it makes little send to me what's going on over there. :\

Sounds like you have just received an acknowledgement of receipt and there should be a further letter/email coming that sponsorship was approved.

I can't tell you that you've been approved but I can tell you that letter is an AOR and you will get approval soon. Keep checking ecas with the UCI and sponsor details. Or you can call.
