I sent in a file with missed signature as requested by CIC 2 weeks ago. I thought I should have result (approval) very soon as I have been assigned a file number and I have a case worker. However, I am too optimistic!!! I heard nothing since then and when I called CIC, they are not helpful at all!!!! Cannot tell me if they have received my reply mail, told me I may have to wait for another 90 days since I replied as my case will be treated with a new case, I can only check again after another 2 weeks and I may have to send another form with signature if they didn't receive it.............. horrible!!!! I know the CIC agent is not always right, but the waiting really makes me frustrating! I know I made a mistake so the process is delayed. But isn't this process a disaster with people being left in the darkness of waiting with only tiny hope?!
sorry about the complain. I am really stretched to the limit.

What address did you mail the form to? Did you address it to a specific agent? I think two weeks is too soon. It will sit for a few days. Get opened and forwarded. And wait for the officer. Then you have to wait for communication. I'd say a month tops though.

Aw man.......you have a case worker so things may move faster. I am little annoyed to hear March applicants are getting the approval and someone like me still waiting for some sort of response. Call again and speak to another agent; some have patience than the others. I am hoping to find tomorrow why I have not heard anything yet.
anyone else called cic today?

that's good news in a way - they have opened probably most applications in February, and now taking decisions, and sending out emails/letters to all february applicants - maybe by the end of the week, or next week, most of you will have some signs from CIC... good luck, you are very near the end, don't loose hope now!
Sweden
Thank you; totally made my day. I hope you are right otherwise I am going to be needing more encouraging words.

I know I should be happy I got approval but its been two weeks since they mailed the letter and nothing. I'm not that far away. My mom mailed me something from Ontario after approval date and I got it days ago. Another person who didn't get the letter has been told their file isn't at the VO. And they're a January applicant. Sigh.

you are able to see your approval online when you log on UCI? It's probably delayed because of Victoria and memorial holiday. You should have the letter by Monday the latest.

Canadiangirl78, call them tomorrow, but I think you should be fine. 1st class mail sometimes takes 2 weeks between Canada and US. I had a piece of mail that took 2.5 weeks from Iowa to BC this last month. Unbelievable.
Lily_TV is right, There is also two long weekends to account for. It should be any day now!

Under Ecas there are two things: "Sponsorship Application Status" and "Permanent Residence Application Status". Which one does it say "Decision Made" for you? Did it say that from the very first time you logged into ecas after you got your UCI in your email? I got the approval letter in mail that said I have met the requirements to sponsor. Getting the "approval" letter and Ecas saying "Decision Made" are two different things?!?! I am kinda confused...

When I first logged in, I didn't expect to see anything. I could log in because of an old application. But I saw "Application Received" under Sponsorship and PR. I checked again randomly and it said "Decision Made" under sponsorship. I was quite shocked but I had an AOR so I knew they had started on it. So I called and they told me I was approved and they mailed a letter on May 16. I still see Application Received under PR. Approval and Decision Made are the same thing. Sometimes ecas doesn't update so don't worry about it. The letter is the most important thing, not ecas.
