Hey guys,
I have a question.
I checked ECAS and it was updated, although it doesn't say when. Under Permanent Residence Application Status it says application received on February 1, 2012 (that is when Mississauga received my package). And Medical results have been received. (No date though). My understanding is that medical results along with the rest of the documents go to the VO from Mississauga together in one package. If that's correct then does this mean my VO has received my application? However I haven't gotten AOR letter yet.

Hey guys,

hey there, yes the VO SHOULD have ur file....part of the file is automatically transfered online on the day u get ur sponsor approval (maybe some forms, medical paper, not sure which), then it is also phisically transfered and it takes around 2 weeks to arrive....not all embassies send AOR so yeah u need to think that they have it...of course u could also email them and ask, not sure if they will answer....just wait a little more also they don't write any date when the medicals r received and they don't say when the update happenned to ur file |

I'm a lurker but finally going to post.
I'm sponsoring my husband who is a British and Irish citizen. We live in Northern Ireland. Application received Feb 8th. Still heard nothing yet but hoping for this week. Can you please put us on the spreadsheet?
We leave the UK on June 17th and will be asking for Dual Intent at the border in Toronto. Am hoping because he is visa exempt, he will be let in!

Hello FK22:
Your client ID number is written on your PR card. Use that number as your "Unique Client Id number ". You might get your status, but most of the cases I notice after AOR.
What about people who never had PR card, meaning people who were born as Canadian or are Canadian through descent? |

the Canadian through descent would have to apply for citizenship if i'm not mistaken...the file number for that is ur client id....anyway, even people with cliend id cannot access anything before AOR....most people don't get AOR and they r able to access the system a few days after the sponsor approval (no matter if they already had a client id or they will get a brand new one now)
