They usually jump about a week, but if you check my spreadsheet for January you'll see there are some of us, including me from jan 11 that haven't received approval yet.
It's sporadic... I've tried to jus remain calm and just expect it when it comes...
Can't wait for you guys to start getting AORs, it's such a great feeling!
There is no logic on how, when, they process applications...I thought receiving an AOR should be according to when they received the application. Since this does not require going through much details as in assessing the application. Assessing the application is different from case to case. |

you are very right...no logic!!!!!  or should i say  everyone that received aor before me waitied 4-5 days and then got approved... this past tuesday would have been 3 weeks Just thinkevery day that passes is one day closer to this all being over. |

They're working on January 25 right now. Maybe a little past. Maybe January applicants have received nothing. Those who recently have waited 60 or more days. So unfortunately I don't think we will be hearing anything for awhile. I wish I was February 1! But I am February 20.

Yeah who would have thought that CIC would be about as accurate as guessing a due date....lol
We are February 27th so I'm sure we still have a long time to wait. I already hate the waiting and I'm with my husband so I don't know how all of you that are apart are able to handle it! A bit about us is that I'm Canadian and met my husband in 2003 in the USA and we got married in 2006 and now we are working on getting my husbands PR so that us and our three little ones can move up to Canada... Hopefully sooner rather than later! So we are going through Buffalo for our application... How about everyone else?

Hey mameelynn, we have the same date, sent mine in February 27th too........ like Canadiangirl78 I wish I was February 1st too! I have been with my hubby two and half years now while he was in Canada, we got married on Jan 14th of this year and 3 days later immigration told him he had to go back to JA and do the paperwork there so he had until Feb 17th to get back to Jamaica. Sent him home on a plane (hardest friggin' thing I ever had too do, I was bawling, he was bawling, people staring upon us in the airport like we are crazy!) Sent his paperwork in on February 27th and still waiting to hear back. I went thru the Mississauga office though.

oh I'm so sorry that you are apart now! I remember how hard that is to do! We did the whole long distance part before we got married. I was in Nova Scotia and he was in Seattle... not fun at all!! I had to get on a plane an hour after he proposed. Boy was that a rough day! It was really surreal to read though all of our old e-mails to send in our proof... Part of me feels like it was just yesterday but then a bigger part of me looks at how much has happened in our lives now and I can't believe how it felt like forever but now it seems like it was such a short time. I hope that you will also be able to look back soon and think of it as a short time! My dad thought that I should have sent it all in by Dec. 31 so that we could be like "but we sent it in last year!!" lol... we were close to getting it in then but we had our hard drive fry on our new computer and lost all of our gathered info so we had to get it all organized again. |
