according to the Outland buffalo thread cic is changing their systems as of February and march. These result in faster AORs for us. So our files are getting scanned on arrival and these ecas updates are our AORs. So yay!!!!
That's great! Still wondering if they send bar codes, so you can send in additional info if needed? Let us know what happens with you  I am wondering if the changes will mean anything good for people like me who are dealing with an office like Kingston, which seems to do everything their own way, and usually not in a way that is efficient or timely.  |

WOW, I am starting to get very nervous....our app was sent on Feb 7th and arrived on Feb 9th and STILL NO ECAS....most of those upto and after my timeline have an active ECAS. I called the call centre on friday and there said there is nothing on file with my information? wouldn't that be amazing if they lost my whole file and we had to start allover again- CAN WE SENSE MY SARCASM HERE?
So I'm on hold now with CIC waiting to see if there is anything on the system....and I have a feeling nothing will be there. What should I do if the file is "missing"? I was thinking there is a delay b/c my case is complex as my husband overstayed and was a failed ref. claimant....could that be the reason for the delay?
Sheesh, I was being sooo patient with all of this and now it looks like our file has disappeared....
Either way everytime I see someone get an approval I get all excited....congrats to all of you who got letters/active ecas....please keep your fingers crossed for me :-)

It seems like we got a phone call from the case processing centre in Mississauga, we both missed the call but when I googled the number the results show Cooksville, Mississauga, Onatrio. Tried calling back but it just rings out and they didn't leave a voicemail. No email either. No idea what the call was about, hopefully nothing too serious, any idea how to get back in contact with whoever was trying to call.

Hello guys! My partner submitted our papers last february and waiting for the decision. My question is, can my partner visit me here in the philippines after a decision has been made (step 1 process) She is not yet a Canadian Citizen, but a PR. I have read somewhere that while the application is on process P.R sponsors must reside in canada. But how about vacation? She is not going to reside here of course, she has her fulltime job in canada. Please help!  I hope I could see her again soon! I miss her sooo much! |

She can visit. Meaning she cannot stay for months at a time, she has to be in Canada as a PR sponsoring a Spouse/partner. So, the usual vacation is about two weeks? So she can spend that time with you. You don't want her taking chances with the sponsorship, do you?

Hi there, thanks for responding :-) So I asked CIC yesterday and they said there is nothing on file.....very disapointed right now. I sent my file via UPS to the Robert Speck address (for couriers) and it DID arrive and was signed for. I have no clue what is going on and I know 100% I am not going to be getting an answer anytime soon as thats how CIC works "Ohhh just wait another 3-4 weeks then call us back"....THANKS CIC! I really have no clue what I am supposed to be doing at this point....I guess just waiting to see (and praying) that something happens soon.... |

Thank you for the suggestion...unfortunately I tried yesterday and the call centre rep said "call back in 3-4 weeks, I'm sure its somewhere"....I then proceeded to get upset and he said "look, not everyone gets a response at the same time so you need to wait"....I will be calling back tomorrow to see what thursdays new CIC excuse is as to where my application has disappeared. I am sooooo upset right now  |

tell them that RASHPAL signed it and you are already working on application received till 15 feb and its updated on March 16 as you already know they were working on application received on 8 feb last week. I am sure its somewhere there. can you tell on which address did u send
