I agree, the lack of communication is the worst part of the process.  Perhaps if we were kept better informed, it would be easier, who knows?  I am sure there are concerns with maintaining the integrity of the process, what with the background and security checks that must take place, but at the same time I do believe more could be done to keep sponsors and applicants apprised of progress.  Everything is a trade-off, I guess.  They say they are busy working on the files, and the more information they have to give you is the less time they have to perform the actual work, but I doubt that accounts for the wide disparities in processing times globally and within individual offices. 

It's also a crapshoot, as you might get a diligent officer who is fully cognisant that (the majority of) such files represent genuine spouses wanting to build a life together, or you might get the bureaucrat who cares only about his salary and next promotion and getting the absolute minimum necessary done in order to claim both. 

My solution?  Find something else to do in the meanwhile, so you don't drive yourself and your spouse crazy.

Now I am just hoping my wife will not get interview.  Has anyone had medical received and still placed on the interview list?

I am also with the February group.  Our e-cas changed in July for Medicals Received.  Then, end of August my husband (in Morocco) got phone call from the visa office to show up for interview on September 12.

We sent our extra stuff a month ago and are still waiting. I checked e-cas today and nothing new. Our Meds expire Mid-December. Hope we have to make a run for the border soon.

Anyone that has not sign up or know about the automatic ecas tracker should really sign up.  It works for me and email me whenever there is an update.

I dont understand Buffalo at all.We have people waiting from Dec thru the present who havent heard anything yet there are people from June getting ppr.

Hang in there.  When it's all over, we're all in the same place (with our spouses), and it no longer matters who made it there first, because it turns out it's not a race, just a very opaque process that happens outside our understanding and control.

Well I just heard from the MP.She was told my app wouldnt be done before the 11month process and that my medicals are expired so I have to redo them now WTF!

The officer she talked to said Its takeing over 11months for the apps which is bs.I ordered them and all it said was medicals in progress and nothing else started.

They said they were getting it together to request the meds but everyone else has never redone them they get an extension.Also they say to pay everything up front to knock 3months off processing time which I did so wtf.

Yes, but that extra time would be added on to the average processing time of 11 months, not subtracted from it.  I think the medicals are extended for Inland applicants, I don't know of it being done for Outland applicants.
